We ain’t getting KD. as mentioned above jaylen is 100% going to finish out this contract just because it makes financial sense. He likely does at least test free agency for no other reason than he’s not had that freedom. Lowe mentioned this as well. Then we have to hope he doesn’t leave or goodbye “10 year window”.

KD wil get to Miami or phx

We are either getting the Italian KD, bubble KD or the real KD. Either way we are the winners of the off-season.

Here's my take on the KD potential. (For the record, I don't think we get him regardless).

Right now are we good enough to win the title? This past season would say that we are but we did get pretty fortuitous to win two game 7's, one on the road, have Middleton miss the Bucks series, have Herro miss multiple games in the Heat series, and have relatively good health for our entire run. Our own good health was an anomaly based on previous years.

I keep reading this Jaylen/Jayson 10 year window stuff but how often has that actually come to fruition for any team? I can think of the Warriors right now but really no one else. If you trade Jaylen for KD then you're better right now, I don't think that can be disputed. KD is a better player than Jaylen Brown. Trading picks shouldn't matter because this trade is to go all in, so losing #30 picks for a couple years is what it is and even when Durant winds down you still have Tatum so we'll never be tanking hopefully.

The point is to win the title and this trade would make us the favorite to win the title. We haven't been the preseason favorite since KG was lacing them up and I know that was a long time ago but maybe you've forgotten how much fun that is. To have the best team and win a ton of games en route to the championship. The question we have to ask is do we have the next Jordan/Pippen with Tatum and Brown or the next Paul George/Danny Granger? Nothing is guaranteed.

I think this trade is very similar to Al Jefferson for KG in 2007. I was on the "keep Al" bandwagon because I thought he could grow with the team and trading a young 20/10 big guy seemed like a bad idea. Obviously I was wrong. This is the same thing. KD is a superstar. Jaylen is better than Big Al but you need let an All Star stand in the way of trading for a superstar.

Bring back French Draymond and sign Israeli Curry. Warriors, look out!

Agreed, then a PG and we're set for next season.

Which vet min PG(s) are you imagining might be available who would make an impact for us next season?

I don’t understand this KD thing in the slightest. Maybe I’ve fallen out of the loop from the finals loss depression… but like he waited for Kyrie to resign before demanding a trade? And while we’re debating Brown + Picks, somehow Phoenix is in the mix with Bridges or Ayton? It’s just chaos built on chaos, I need this slowed down to 1/10 speed.

Here’s a name I haven’t heard related to free agency or the NBA at all this off-season: IT

Gosh maybe the “bring back IT” crowd was not right about that?

Kyrie opted in so that he can be traded to contenders more easily. The Nets are not giving him an extension which is a big FU to KD who signed with the Nets to play with Kyrie.

Regarding long-term duos and trios, Duncan, Parker and Ginobilli were together from 2002-2016. Shaq and Kobe from 1996-2004. Jordan and Pippen 1987-1998. Bird, McHale and Parish 1981-1992.

If Tatum, Brown and Rob Williams continue to improve, Rob stays healthy and ownership pays the luxury tax, they can win a few rings over the next 8-10 years.

Still on the fence if I do this due to injury concerns. Plus can Tatum play SG?

You obviously do this but AD wouldn’t want to play here.

KD and Kyrie will end with one going to LA and the other going to the Heat. Is what it is. Weather and endorsements matter. Nothing Boston can control. But they need to do whatever they can to convince Brown and Tatum to not jump to a bigger NBA market.

We go back to rebuilding if one leaves. Or maybe we get someone to replace JB before then. According to the forum there are at least 20 players better than him.

From this list, the only interesting players that jumped teams within our price range are Ingles, Lonnie Walker, and Danuel House.

Ingles might not even be back until after ASB.

A loss for the Dubs.

Blazers are so stupid, they did all that maneuvering and all they have to show for it is a new overpaid supporting cast who can’t get Lillard a ring. They basically cleared McCollum’s money to pay Simons. Norman Powell, Covington and CJ out, Jerami Grant, Josh Hart and Gary Payton Jr. in…

they've had an excellent off-season. Among the best. You couldn't be more wrong

Thanks for the laugh lol

Warren might be gettable as he recovers from his injury and rebuilds his value. But has he been linked to us? Is the interest mutual?

Jake Fischer said he’s on our short list. He was linked to Wizards and Lakers but both have used the MLE.
