I just don’t think Tatum, brown, and Rob are at that level of talent. None of them are Duncan, Jordan, Bird, or Shaq/Kobe.

Tatum could be top 25 ever..

See and that’s where we disagree. I don’t think he has that level. I really hope he does, he’s awesome, but I just don’t see it yet.

Right now are we good enough to win the title? This past season would say that we are but we did get pretty fortuitous to win two game 7's, one on the road, have Middleton miss the Bucks series, have Herro miss multiple games in the Heat series, and have relatively good health for our entire run. Our own good health was an anomaly based on previous years.

I keep reading this Jaylen/Jayson 10 year window stuff but how often has that actually come to fruition for any team? I can think of the Warriors right now but really no one else. If you trade Jaylen for KD then you're better right now, I don't think that can be disputed. KD is a better player than Jaylen Brown. Trading picks shouldn't matter because this trade is to go all in, so losing #30 picks for a couple years is what it is and even when Durant winds down you still have Tatum so we'll never be tanking hopefully.

The point is to win the title and this trade would make us the favorite to win the title. We haven't been the preseason favorite since KG was lacing them up and I know that was a long time ago but maybe you've forgotten how much fun that is. To have the best team and win a ton of games en route to the championship. The question we have to ask is do we have the next Jordan/Pippen with Tatum and Brown or the next Paul George/Danny Granger? Nothing is guaranteed.

I think this trade is very similar to Al Jefferson for KG in 2007. I was on the "keep Al" bandwagon because I thought he could grow with the team and trading a young 20/10 big guy seemed like a bad idea. Obviously I was wrong. This is the same thing. KD is a superstar. Jaylen is better than Big Al but you need let an All Star stand in the way of trading for a superstar.

Tatum absolutely will be In the conversation
Rob is not ... but could be prime Ben Wallace good
Brown is not. No bbiq whatsoever

Is there anyone that has played less and got paid more than this? Simmons or Embiid maybe?

This is going to blow up in New Orleans face but what can they do?

They are going to spend the next 5 years answering questions like,

What if Zion was in shape?
What if Zion was healthy?

but Iike I said, they have no choice.

I have a lot of reservations about signing Gallo. His age and defensive ability doesn't seem to fit with our group of guys.

White, Nesmith, Gallo, Tatum and Grant bench line up has potential to be really good. A lot of shooting around JT if Nesmith can finally break out.

We need someone to replace Nesmith in that lineup for me to feel comfortable next year.

Doesn't need to be young or a defensive wizard. Just needs to make shots. Thats it

Nesmith and Hauser are going to get major runs (18-22 mpg) next year and if they don't pan out the Celtics will do something at the mid season trade deadline. That's my prediction.

I'm pretty sure Gallo wants a ring, which is why he'll choose us over the Bulls.

Look, I'm a Jaylen stan but I think that 1000% Stevens should offer him up for Durant IF Brooklyn don't get too greedy and be asking for a bunch of picks and players. Jaylen is by far the best they're gonna get if they want a legit player back.

Nothing guaranteed in the league we just can't assume Tatum and Brown will be here for the next 8-10 years. The window is smaller than we realize. Will be actually pretty disappointed if Stevens can't put together a Jaylen package that would easily best other offers.

Lots of miles on his legs, so if his shooting begins to drop off, what kind of player are you left with?

Not sure how they get minutes?

Sign Gallo and 6-10 is White, Grant, Gallo, PP and Theis.

If the guy comes in and all he does all game is hit two wide open 3's in the 4th quarter he would already be a huge improvement over what we had last year. He averaged 12 and 5 in short minutes and could easily recreate that here next year.

OK, this is a start. Nice signing, we got a guy who can get a bucket. The team got a little better, and there is still TPE left.

Still don’t think we get Durant but now Zach lowe has hinted that he’s heard or it’s at least rumored that Jaylen would like to test free agency....it’s almost exactly what people here have been saying for the last year only to be told about ten year windows.......

Lol what else do you need to see through his age 23 season? An MVP?

I have reservations, but I like having a vet that can score at a decent price and plays off the bench.

Gallo might be, what do they call it?... "situational". Meaning he's not going to get a ton of minutes but will be valuable after the regular season when the coaching chess matches are happening in late game situations.

Jaylen not being cost control reduces his trade value. Will likely take picks and another starter to get KD.

We need Nesmith to replace himself with the guy that was drafted. This is his year to prove that guy is out there in there.

Useless stat alert: Only five NBA players have made 500+ three pointers in the last four seasons combined while shooting at least 40% --- Danny Green, Mook, Bojan Bogdanovic, Steph, and Gallo. From those five, only Curry and Gallo shot at least 90+% from the FT line in that span.

EDIT: My bad. Twelve players. Add Bertans, Forbes, Joe Harris, Seth Curry, Duncan Robinson, KAT, and Ingles.
