Simmons is kind of redundant to Murray a D first combo gaurd whose shooting is suspect. I just don't see Atlanta going this direction with Murray in the fold. Might be a different third-party team involved in that kind of deal.

NOP has way better talent than us.

The PB & RJ = PBRJ makes me think of PB, PBR, RJ, all at once.
So, that's peanut butter, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and RJ Barrett.
Fried Peanut Butter Sandwiches washed down with Pabst, while watching RJ.
If I ran a Knicks Reeducation Camp, this is how I would "rehabilitate" Chanel and Jimmit

The trend these days is to get your money first, then worry about where you play.

we don't need another thread derailed by more of the same RJ talk...but being completely fair if I did it it was a complete accident. I even somehow misquoted myself too. Rough morning
He keeps trying to take shots at RJ for being inefficient, but he's even less efficient
His True Points percentage (amount of legitimate points made per post, adjusted for length of post) is among the lowest on the board
He has the one point about RJ's efficiency, but other than that, not much. If he had even 2 or 3 other legitimate points, it would vastly improve his TP%, but alas, he is the RJ of this board in that regard.
RJ? More like Mitch. Good at one thing and very defensive.

Good. let him rot his career away in a place where people could give a single f*ck about basketball.
It's football and the way, anything else a very distant second. Pelicans coming it at 4th after college, then HS football.

I'm a fan of Brunson, but there are no superstars left to trade for because they all either just re-signed max deals or play for Brooklyn.

Or players that might pop available due to a rebuild like Donovan Mitchell.
The list I see so far now:
Mitchell
Beal (could he still bolt Washington?)
LaVine (still hasn't signed yet perhaps curiously though it seems he will stay)
Ayton
Lesser likelihood either due to bad fit, a bit old/injury prone or a team not trading with us:
KD
Kyrie
Simmons
Anyone missing on this list?

A couple teams probably waiting on the 'KD decision' before pivoting to other things.

I don't know why people keep assuming there's some grand plan when the FO has consistently shown they can't see past the ends of their noses when it comes to planning ahead
We signed Brunson, Leon probably sat back after that and went "job well done, time for cannoli"
Then I assume Aller is out there somewhere trying to find little deals to pitch to him that Leon won't say no to because he doesn't care to actually read them, while Thibs and Perry are arguing over which reclamation project/vet to sign for so long that we're full by the time they're done
I'd be shocked if we did anything big.

almost everybody the knicks are dreaming of are reuping on new maxes this summer. the only guy left to dream about is spida who they likely won't get. and whose fit next to brunson is a little dubious. it's funny because they did all this for brunson, but how many more years do the people here connected to brunson even have if the knicks don't make the playoffs soon ? thibs, his dad, rose could all be gone over the next 2 seasons.

Yep, plus Knicks have assets to facilitate a trade. I would not be surprised if they help a trade along for a player they want or maybe converting those protected picks into unprotected ones.

So about this war chest of assets Knicks fans told me about two-three years ago...
It's looking great, isn't it.

Every year, multiple all stars ask out… we should wait for our opportunity to pounce when a great fit becomes available…

Was always just a dream and N.O. had all the leverage. Never wanted to gut our entire team for him.

Either we committed to Cam or we really trying to be terrible at defense again. Need a big body at the 3.

even if they have a plan, which undoubtedly is mostly based around trading for the "big" free agent, could they even get it done ? unless daisuke yoshimoto is married to donovan mitchell's sister and his brother is one of his agents it doesn't seem likely.
