We’re down so bad we have to give up an asset to unprotect a pick.

If it were unprotected to begin with, though, it would have been riskier. It will probably cost a second round pick. That's worth it to add Kevin Durant. I don't like the idea of trading Bam though. I'd much rather have Donovan Mitchell, Bam, & Jimmy together. Please!

Serious question gom: which would you prefer as a pre-MLE core?

KD/Jimmy/Bam/Dipo/Martin/Dedmon/Duncan (maybe)
Or
Mitchell/Jimmy/Bam/Dipo/Martin/Dedmon/one of Lowry/Duncan

There is a way we can keep Lowry with both options. Also we can possibly keep Duncan in the KD deal if they want some cap relief.

If 6ers are willing to get get PJ via S&T then it opens even more options for us to get creative. If they still have interest in Lowry there’s other things that can go down as well, but I don’t think they want to help us get KD.

I'm pretty solidly in Mitchell's camp. He adds tremendous offensive punch. Slides right in. KD is a dream though. I'd watch that team too.

I think gallo is on the heat radar for the minimum to play that stretch 4 / 5

Gallo has always been about the bag. He’ll play for anyone if they pay him.

I think my dream scenario (barring KD) would be to trade Lowry and Herro for Mitchell, then sign a Jae Crowder type.

Sg: Strus / Oladipo
Sf: Butler / Martin
Pf: Adebayo / Crowder
Cc: Yurtseven / Dedmon

I just like the makeup of that team. We'd have to work on Yurt's and Mitchell's defense, but Bam could roam if they're even remotely capable, and our offense would be better. I'd also really like our depth.

I mean if we got KD he'd likely be our 4 man. If we can somehow retain Bam then KD at the 4 with Jimmy at the 3 would be great. Adding a guy like Porter Jr off the bench at the 4 would be nice though. Who knows maybe we bring back Markieff as the backup 4 or trade Robinson for Marcus Morris as the backup 4.

I'd low key be interested in bringing Gogi back as a backup PG.

His situation screams expiring + pick for a low/rookie contract player no longer in their current team's plans. Rui, PJ Washington, Roby, Bazley or K.Williams. I need to go through the contracts to see who else may be available for cheap during the season so a team doesn't just let the player go for nothing at the end of the season.
