If he works out great. Alternatively, with Ingles and Brook we have $20 million expiring to use at the deadline if circumstances warrant making a move(s).
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

This.

The Ingles signing soured me at the time, but with what other guys were going for we didn’t really have a lot of great options.

It could be a sneaky good signing if he is healthy.

I don't know why folks keep qualifying this with "if he's healthy." He's turning 35 and just tore his Acl 5 months ago. Hes not healthy.

In today's age an ACL isn't a career ender, and with his playstyle there is a good chance he can come back and be productive at his age and contract.

Ok, if he gets healthy. Is that better?

There’s no way, regardless of how incompetent you think management is, they’re throwing the TPMLE at someone coming off an ACL injury without getting insight into the medicals.

Anyway Bobby's contract was easily the best long term contract agreed to yesterday.

Just think of Bobby's contract being an additional $1.5mil more/year and we got a bonus Ingles.

Horst is a KD's big toe away from being one of the worse GMs in the league.

Usually if you are younger. At age 35 it makes it more complicated.

I want KD to end up in Memphis so we can trade for Brooks. He's extension eligible.

So, do we all think we are calling it an off-season now after yesterday?

If nothing unexpected happens I think we have one minimum contract left to fill. Maybe that one won't be filled until camp. Maybe it's Nwora. We'll see.

I'd be interested in seeing this list of 35 year olds that have gotten their careers cut down because of an ACL injury if anyone has it offhand.

I'd assume they're still looking to add a center after the McGee reports.

To me, for the Ingles signing to truly be a net positive he's going to need to get back to his age 33 season, which at age 35 coming off ACL I'd put at relatively low odds. I do agree if he DOES regain his form, he could be a huge asset to the team with his shooting and passing. He's a guy you absolutely cannot leave open. But I share the same pessimism on the injury recovery.

Looking at the current depth chart for guys who will actually see floor:

Holiday/Carter/Hill
Allen/Connaughton/Matthews
Middleton/Beauchamp
Giannis/Ingles
Lopez/Portis

The two things I were kind of hoping for this offseason was to upgrade Allen at the starting SG spot, and find a better backup PG than we had on the roster last year, in addition to keeping Pat and Bobby. We kept both of the latter, so that's good, still feel like guard-wise we could use an upgrade. Given their depth chart and overall lack of athleticism, they badly need Beauchamp to be a player.

Hoping the Hill experiment is done and that Wes is more of a end of the bench guy than huge minute guy as well.

Hoping for Thomas Bryant here.
