Personally I’m fine with Highsmith or Martin as KDs back up lol. I just figured we would get a super solid vet with the TPMLE for that role.

If we get KD we def have lost Bam. Then we should probably get Ben Simmons as part of that deal. As much as I hate him, he can provide defense and athleticism. After a KD trade we won't have assets to get a high impact 4 or 5. Unless there's a 3rd team that can take Simmons and send us a center and a backup 4.

So we are looking at this as our starting line up

Pg- Lowry
Sg- Herro
Sf- Duncan
Pf-Butler
C- Bam

I guess the goal is to outscore everyone and forget about defense. Technically we have 3 shooters out there so Butler can attack. The PF position for us is the trash position, Butler and his body will get used and abused in the regular season, that's for sure. We can still make the playoffs with that line up but it will be a long hard season.

We are trying but no one is biting on our great "talent" of "Lowry" and "Duncan" so best way to get their value up is by playing them. Remember we spent 180 million dollars just on those two last season. We saw how "productive" there were in the playoff

Thats not going to be enough picks for Danny Ainge. He'd want multiple 1st rounders and multiple swaps kinda like the Davis deal. I don't think he'd care for Herro. You would need to find a 3rd team that would take Herro to send extra picks to Jazz. And if we get to a bidding war with a team like NO, we'd probably loose

At this point I'd say there's a 90% chance we end up getting no one. Maybe a real scrub for the TPMLE and that's it.

And there's a 10% we get a huge whale and look amazing on paper.

They're trying to get the bids up from the teams KD will be willing to go to.

I truly believe KD signed his extension with a verbal contract of if he signs for 4 years that the Nets would move him only to a team he'd accept. It's what I think OKC did to get P.George to resign then get traded one year later to the team he'd been talking about going to for years, it's the smart thing to do.

So... as long as other teams don't know of the verbal commitment (hence KD working with Marks on the trade) they may think they're bidding against the rest of the season.

They can. The rule is you can't have two rookie max designated players on the same team via trade. You can swap them for each other if you like

If Miami made a bid for Mitchell, could Riley be using the KD situation to get Utah to pull the trigger on a package they're not really sure about because from their side that package will disappear if Miami trades for KD.

Also... if Utah is blowing it up, PF Bogdanović (33 years old, 1 year - 19.5)will be available.

Why would a team trade an all star or superstar caliber player in any universe, sport, sitting, or event would want Duncan Robinson in return. At this point we are living in a fantasy realm.

Yeah, maybe if Herro had better playoff performances they would eat up Robinson but guess what? He didn’t and he folded under pressure. His defense also sucks.

I don't buy it but he was the only analyst after Kyrie opted in to say that there was a chance Kyrie to LA could still happen. Maybe he knew more then about Nets situation then he let know. And maybe he knows more now on Jazz than he can report
