After thinking about it for a bit, regardless what Ingles adds on the court, he's going to be useful off the court. His passing is very unique and even our top dogs could learn from him.

When Ingles hits the floor a lot of people here are going to do a complete 180. The best way to describe his game is that he makes the right decision at an extremely high rate. Whether it's putting the ball in the hoop himself or enabling someone else to. He's going to prove extremely valuable on a team that struggles to create offense and has a tendency to bog down, especially in the playoffs. He's exactly what this team needs and there are many who can provide it. Especially not this cheap.

It’s not adding Ingles that’s annoying, though I do think people have a right to be skeptical that he has anything left.

He’s a guy like Matthews last year where you wait it out and then give him the vet min if he is looking for work. The TPMLE was their only shot to add anything significant to the roster and they immediately blew it all on guy who probably won’t even be ready by January and whose defense may play himself off the floor in the postseason.

I would be interested in the list of nba players 35 or older.

He'll have a greater impact than anyone else they could get at the TPMLE. THAT'S what people aren't grasping. This roster has more than enough useful pieces. They don't need to split up the TPMLE to add 11th and 12th bit pieces to the rotation. And no singular player on the market gettable with the TPMLE will be as impactful as Ingles once he sees the court.

As an Aussie, I'm duty-bound to be be pro-Ingles. The counter-argument is that it's not about the production we get from the spot, it's the upside. Thanasis probably outperforms heaps of end of bench players, but he should never stop us trying to find whatever Duncan Robinsons are out there...

What would a market value deal for Bobby be, like 5 years 80 million?

This isn't 2013, taking long shots on diamonds in the rough is not a priority. The window is wide open right now to win another championship. Ingles is one of the few obtainable pieces for cheap (and without sending out current assets) that can crack the top 7 of the rotation and be a key contributor in the playoffs.

The Ingles signing soured me at the time, but with what other guys were going for we didn’t really have a lot of great options.

It could be a sneaky good signing if he is healthy.

I don't know why folks keep qualifying this with "if he's healthy." He's turning 35 and just tore his Acl 5 months ago. Hes not healthy.

In today's age an ACL isn't a career ender, and with his playstyle there is a good chance he can come back and be productive at his age and contract.

At his age, it's certainly usually a career ender. At his age, I'd expect the recovery to be longer than a lot of younger guys. So if that's assumed, and I think that's reasonable, we're looking at what? Best case February return? So he's getting comfortable, still working through the mental side, while being reacclimated to the speed and pace of play and then suddenly you're looking at the playoff push and playoffs themselves. We can't afford to trot out a guy who's trying to round into form at that point.

Turned into a decent defender. Using his size pretty well. Would be a great get.

Like that they're checking on out of the box options for a backup center. He's about to turn 25 so at least he's still young but I have no idea how his game has developed if at all since he flamed out of the league so quickly.

He has lost a lot of weight in comparison to his Kings era, he is much more agile (considering he is 7ft 3)
and had a pretty decent year. If he works his a** off, he could be a decent get.

He was such a horrendous draft pick, some of the worst footwork I have seen from a guy taken that highly. I haven’t kept up with him, but man he was a turnstile. I need the Greek folks to chime in on his feet, are they still bricks

Papagiannis's body transformation took me by surprise. His recovery speed on the perimeter considering his size is impressive.

Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.
