Would you do that?

I hate Simmons but I would do it if I can keep Jovic. KD is 34 and did have an achilles. We need some insurance in case of worst case scenario. We had that once with Bosh and it took a couple years to recover. With Simmons and Jovic atleast you'd have some young assets in case anything happens to Butler or KD who are older and on the downside. I am pro trading KD but there is a massive risks if KD gets hurt again

I agree. And i don’t see Durant wanting to come here unless he’s playing with both and the Simmons scenario is just without any thought. We might be involved with them as part of a larger package but none bringing KD or Irving here.

Bam can be traded to the Nets if Simmons isn't on the roster, so if Simmons is in the trade or sent to a 3rd team.

Nets are not taking Butler back. They want to get rid of the headaches not to add to them. Butler is super productive but he's also a pain in the ass. I don't foresee Nash being able to control him especially if Butler doesn't want to be there. It could easily be another Minnesota situation where's he's trying to force his way out of Brooklyn.

They just dumped Royce who is their best defender for a future pick, they're shopping DPOY Gobert, their successful head coach just quit and they hired a first time coach. Mitchell is on record wanting out.

Not as good offensively, not as bad defensively because he'll give effort, it just doesn't make much of a difference. Also, Harden has done it as a starter and a #1 option, a little bit different situation then Herro.
