That’s a steal of a deal by Boston if Brogdon stays healthy. He’s a really good two-way player and another shot-creator on offense that Boston desperately needed. And all it took was essentially a late First and fillers to get him. This is a huge W by Brad imo.

I was reading somewhere that Brogdon, because of injuries, played fewer games than Kyrie n the last few years. You can't trade Smart because of someone as unreliable as Brogdon.

That means we’re paying 22 million to a 30 year old point guard who can’t stay healthy..

so what?

a year ago we were paying $40 million to a 30 year old PG who couldn't stay healthy and was WAY worse than Brogdon..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Kevin Pritchard owed us from the Paul George reneged trade from years back and the Myles Turner Hayward fiasco. Didn't want to disappoint his son Payton this time around.

We go big. He's a versatile defender and so is our existing wings.

IDK. he's eligible for a rookie max extnesion that could be up to 5 years, $186 mil.

we ain't paying that kind of $ for a guy who would be maybe our 6th best scorer..

Hmmm. I see what you mean.

Bring him off the bench to avoid Smart/White pairings

Smart / Brogdon
Brown / White
Tatum / (Brown is the backup here through staggered minutes)
Horford / G Williams / Gallo
R Williams / (Horford is the backup here through staggered minutes)

is a damn good playoff rotation

You sure? Brogdon is making $22.6 million next season, and Nesmith/Theis combined only make $12.5 million. Didn't we have to use our TPE for this trade?

Crazy that we gave up more for White then Brogdon.

What a steal.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nesmith is eventually a good player for Indy, we just don't really have the time for it. Needs a more consistent form.

Brogdon's salary is $22.5M over the next 3 years ($67.6M total) -- not terrible at all

Which was a mistake.. my point is that Brogdon isn’t a huge injury risk.. subtract his year off and he’s averaged almost 60 games a season

Kennard, Hart, j-rich, mcdermott, beasley, clarkson, oubre all possibilities..

I feel like the most realistic targets are j-rich and mcdermott. the other guys are on teams who are actually trying to win.

spurs are clearly tanking for a high draft pick in 2023.

j-rich is a better defender and slasher. Mcdermott is a better shooter and is taller..

i won't be picky. i'll be happy with either of them.

Is Jaylen gonna play the 3 more this year? Tatum at the 4? Could be a very interesting team next year.
