<Sigh> Guess I'll have to accept the 2 big lineup is going back in the basement.

I think Brogdon comes off the bench

They could also be pivoting to a Durant trade.. you offer Jaylen, Grant, Smart or White, picks.. use the TPE on Beasley or Kennard and you roll out Brogdon/Smart-or-White, Beasley, Tatum, Durant, Rob/Al…

Like I said earlier in the thread. Shooter/playermaker is what we needed, Brad outdid himself and got us a great defender too. LFG, let’s just hope he can stay healthy. No brainer deal

You sure? Brogdon is making $22.6 million next season, and Nesmith/Theis combined only make $12.5 million. Didn't we have to use our TPE for this trade?

No, we added filler in Morgan, Stauskas and Fitts. TPE is still available

Even adding in those 3 guys doesn't make the salaries match. Still $4-$5 million short.

Not a ringing endorsement of White, but we needed it.

Jeez I went out to get a donut and seem to have missed quite a bit. I love Brogdon! Please stay healthy bro!

So many empty roster spots for ring chasers.

Amazing trade. I’d much prefer Smart off the bench (or off the roster but hey, I’m not picky) and let Jaylen be the 2.

Tpe can't be combined with anything else so it's not the tpe being used.

So Fournier TPE is probably not gonna be used.

Doesn't matter. We've got a squad now!

I really do feel like at the end nobody wanted to trade with Danny due to him destroying teams and then being very stingy with adding picks or players to deals towards the end. Just a random guess but I kind of feel like teams are way more open to make deals happen with Brad…for now lol

Brogdon is an incredibly fundamentally sound and smart player with good size. Always plays great against the Celtics.

If he is healthy, we have ourselves a steal of a trade.

Brogdon deserves more than 26 minutes, you’re paying him and White a lot of money for those mpg..

poopship wrote:Brogdon is avery good player when healthy. To the point he's well worth his salary. It's a risk. But man he's the right type of player.

-Good size. 6'5", 229 lbs, with a 6'11" wingspan
-Can play the 1 or the 2 (same as Smart and White so you really like that versatility)
-Good passer, play maker, ball mover
-Good shooter
-Decent defender
-29 yrs old so still in his prime, still has a few good years left

Yes, he's had some injury issues but absolutely good value at $22 mil a year

We now have a legit 3rd scorer, Brogdon.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

At this rate of Brad hitting it out of the park, it's a matter of time until no one wants to deal with him either.

More fun facts on Brogdon -- he measured 6'3.75 and 6'5.5 with so has legit size. He had a 6'10.5 inch wingspan. He had the biggest hands in the draft in 2016 (9" length and 10.25" width) -- no player had wider hands at any height, and only a couple guys had longer hands (9.5" was longest, Ben Bentil and and Dedric Lawson, though both had less width than Brogdon). He's also stocky -- weighed 223 with 5.4% body fat.

I guess the point is he is EXTREMELY switchable on D and will be a great 2 way addition.
