KD to Phoenix

Kyrie to LA

Russ + picks to Charlotte

We get:
Ayton
Bridges
Cam
Rozier
Oubre?
Picks from PHX

None of those players are blue chips though, MAYBE Ayton.

Bridges, Cam, Rozier, Oubre are all role players.

We'd definately have solid depth but no stars which is a huge no for me.

We need at least 1 clear cut star back for KD.

Jaylen Brown, Brandon Ingram, Scottie Barnes, Mobley, Edwards, Lamelo, Bam, Garland, Fro, Poole, Banes, etc.

I think Bridges is more than just a role player. He's DPOY caliber. While offensively challenged, a line-up of Ayton-Simmons-Bridges-O'Neale-TBD could be top defense in the league material.

Our team basically becomes totally 3 + D oriented. The issue is, i don't know what we're going to do to get a bucket in the halfcourt.

Funny enough, Kyrie (finally) helps the Nets - he needs to play this season wherever he is. Not only that, he'll need to perform AND show some level of dependability if he wants anything near a max next offseason. So if there isn't anything compelling for either just play out the season

Kyrie/Mills
Oneal/Curry
Durant/Harris
Simmons/Edwards
Claxton/Sharpe

That is a very good team. And then next season you'd still have Simmons/Durant which is a playoff contender at the very least.

With no draft picks the next few years this Durant trade is essentially the only viable way of improving the team going forward. It has to be on point.

Its honestly a great team and would be better than the Suns with Durant for sure.

Not to mention Nets would have added a few more pieces.

But hes too much of an idiot to see it.

This was an all time great quote by Draymond. He was always right.

Many closer to the game & to the Suns believe Ayton has the ability to be a great scorer in the halfcourt, but that he's underutilized in Phoenix with Booker being #1 & CP3 getting everybody involved. Phoenix doesn't run through Ayton, but that supposedly isn't because he couldn't handle it.

NBA insider Kristian Winfield of New York Daily News reports that the Nets, “might be” interested in a package that involves lights-out shooter Terry Rozier, slashing wing Kelly Oubre Jr., young power forward P.J. Washington and draft pick compensation.

The Nets might be willing to accept a deal that includes a combination of sharpshooting point guard Terry Rozier, versatile wing Kelly Oubre Jr., former first-round pick P.J. Washington and draft compensation. The Nets are unlikely to accept Gordon Hayward back in an Irving deal, according to a league source, as Hayward is due in excess of $60M over the next two seasons and has had a number of injuries that have kept him off the floor the past two seasons.

Way better than the Lakers deal. Would be a slam dunk.

I would do that Hornets deal today. Hell I might have done it even if KD didn't want out.

Lakers deal is never happening. Not taking back Westbrick no matter what.

If Rudy Gobert is worth several players and 4 1st round picks (2023, 2025, 2027 are all unprotected, 2029 is top-5 protected), how much is KD worth?

Sean Marks should be channeling his inner Birdman…

Exactly.

He got his ass whipped by Boston and his first instinct is to turn tail and run

KD is a pussy. Everyone knows it now

Phoenix will need to put together an offer we can't refuse.

Durant goes nowhere unless we get compensation equivalent to or better than that.

If you read the original story its just saying what the Nets would accept.

There is no way Charlotte wants to do that for Westbrick.

That's a real unknown at this point. I mean, if he can really be a reliable scorer that at least solves one issue.

Ideally, we would bring in an assistant that can craft a system that can utilize Ayton in the half court but also features ball movement to generate open looks for our array of shooters.
