The key now is DLo. If he can make this Frankenstein work: throw timely lob passes to Gobert, hit 3s, feed Towns and Ant, then we will be dangerous team.

Screw it...now trade Russell for Simmons (I puked a little in my mouth typing that):

C Gobert
PF Towns
SF McDaniels
SG Edwards
PG Simmons

you have no assets left now to acquire said future disgruntled stars/valuable players

As of now. By the time Rudy’s PO expires, we will have tradable first round picks.

Well, hopefully you guys are not a lottery team the next three or four years but it certainly has that look centers are a dinosaurs in today’s NBA.

Wait, Ainge is the GM of the Jazz? Will he waste all those draft capital again with busts when he had a late lottery to teens pick? Considering that the trajectory of the team is going to be a playoff team, you're going Ainge draft picks in the 16 to 20+ range, where he usually sucks at drafting. That does take off a lot of the sting

With the size of Gobert’s contract, this should not have cost this much. Great deal for the Jazz.

1. I wonder if this was what it took to beat the Hawks offer?

2. It also makes me wonder how MIN and UTA view McDaniels? Like UTA probably said, “include McDaniels and we’ll let you keep 2 picks and a swap” and MIN said, “nah, take the picks.”

3. Is our franchise designed simply to feed Danny Ainge?

The picks are extremely scary. Again shocking. My guess is Conely and company are extremely confident that the Gobert/KAt frontcourt will be best in class. Also if not, they are confident they can blow it up and trade KAT, Gobert, and others for enough assets to get a lot of that back. Crazy play, we are going all in more than we did with Butler just crazy but these guys have to believe we got something major.

If they really wanted a big to pair with KAT, why not go for Ayton who is younger and is much better offensively ? Apparently Jazz are seriously interested in Ayton and might replace Gobert with Ayton

Anyone crying over a 3 picks that’ll be in the 20s should stop following sports.

We have arguably the most talented starting 5 in the league

And we’ll always have an all nba center on the court.

:o Wow, this looks like a ridiculous price on paper. I thought Murray was a tall order but this blows it out. Gobert will change this team but man, we really are looking to contend paying that, Conely thinks we will be in the conference finals picture at least for the foreseeable future, and maybe that will be the case.

I'm in shock over
1 Us making a trade for a superstar like Gobert
2 how much we paid to get him

I think it's going to work out great honestly. I see us as legit contenders for the NBA championship.

We are going to need Ant to make an all star starter level push. I wish we used some of those assets for a point guard instead.
