OK, so they are really not that into Derrick lol.

Or just saw this trade as a great way to add talent without giving up a core piece or a first. White is now their de-facto 7th man and will still get 20 minutes a night during regular season

I don't think they'd move White over PP, but who knows. I always thought PP would be a cap casualty anyway.

Why can’t you have 4 ball handlers on the roster, one of which (Pritchard) is a great threat from behind the arc

So, I have read EVERY page of all the FA/Trade thread, and the ones it replaced. I know, I need to get out more but I'm disabled, so this is what I like to do. Anyway, here is how I see the lineups going. Keeping in mind that Ime wants to run a bigger lineup, with everybody switching, ball movement and defense. I also have to keep in mind the job our starters did from Janurary on, and I don't think that Ime wants to mess with that.

Smart, White, Pritchard, Davison (2-way)
Brown, Brogdon, ( )
Tatum, ( ), Hauser
Horford, Gallinari, G. Williams
R. Williams, ( ), Kornet, ( ) (2-way)

Highest Kudos to Brad for the moves he pulled off today. I know that Brogdon and Gallinari have injury issues, but with the depth we have at those positions, and the number of minutes and rest they will get, I am pretty sure Ime can manage it.

However:
I really don't see G. Will being Tatum's back up. I know he played SF a lot, but it is not ideal. I think Brad will get a vet small forward at vet minimum to play that position.
I think Brad needs to get a shooter at the minimum for 3rd team SG.
I am still hopefull that we can get Thomas Bryant to be the back up to Rob. He is a banger and has in the past, before his injury, had a 3 point shot.
I would also like to see us sign Trevion Williams to our last 2-way for more depth, and injury protection.

It’s “rent free” when someone responds to a post that you submitted on an online forum? That’s quite the take buddy.

And considering they’re first rounders in 2027 and 2029 (5 and 7 yrs away) it’s hard to predict but Gobert is already in middle of his prime so yes if I had to bet they would be high draft picks. Not sure how that’s “lmao” but keep doing you do buddy

2023 first should be in the 20s unless something dramatic and catastrophic happens
2025 first should be in the 20s since DLO contract comes off the books and they have their 2024 pick still
2026 is a pick swap
2027 first should be in the 20s. Edwards will be just entering his prime, KAT in the middle of his plus still have Gobert and others
2029 first COULD be lottery if players have been traded or moved on by then. But it IS protected top 5

Ainge hit on top 3 picks which every G.M. should in solid drafts. None of these picks the Jazz got will get anywhere close to that. Thus the take that the Jazz aren't guaranteed to get much value since Ainge isn't great when drafting outside the top 3 of drafts. Sorry that hurts your feelings.

"rent free" because you literally follow all my posts, twist words/context and are disingenuous about it. So yeah, lmao and rent free

So “rent free” for when people reply to your posts that you make. Gotcha.

And when do I twist words? You’re the one who said RJ Barrett, Bridges, and Lonzo are all better than Brown a year ago. Don’t get mad at people for calling you out on that. When they do, you say “rent free” or “stalker” lol.

Just own your blasphemy man. You’re still getting the attention you want!

nope. Not when others reply, just you. You're special like that

I'd argue to deal White but given Brogdon's (and sometimes Smart's) health issues, we probably need all four guards.

HOT TAKE ALERT!

Miles Bridges has been one of my absolute favorite young players and would have loved to see him in Celtic green.

I'm having a hard time believing he's become such a scum bag.

Question: If there was a way that he could become a Celtic on a two year contract under the condition that he accepts professional help, would you do it?

I love the player but I can't see it happening. I think his career is in jeopardy tbh.

Issue is we've seen PP struggle in a demoted role and most nights he'll barely play.

But, I'll leave it up to Ime/Brad to decide what role we give the players they have. They've earned that.

Assuming one is kind enough to give this scumbag a second chance, what happens if he does it again? Too much of a distraction for a team with lofty goals.

Unless they're doing hockey substitutions, there is no need to have anyone but Tatum and Brown playing "SF" as the roster is right now.

Not finished. They need a defensive, rebounding big. Richaun Holmes would be fine, absent his off-court issues. I wonder what Isaiah Stewart would cost now that he seems to be the odd man out in Detroit.

Pritchard isn't really a ball handler and not much of a threat from behind the arc in the playoffs when teams play defense. That's ok when the team is under the tax and just kind of waiting for the right moment but $4 mil. next season for Pritchard will be very hard to justify.

We needed a SG/SF. Now we don't. Because Brown will start at SG as usual and move to SF when Tatum is resting on the bench.

When Tatum goes to the bench for rest, at times we will see a lineup of:

PG: Brogdon
SG: White
SF: Brown
PF: Gallo
C: Horford

When Brown goes to the bench for rest, at times we will see a lineup of:

PG: Brogdon
SG: White
SF: Tatum
PF: Gallo
C: Horford

Ime will have a lot more options. Our bench rotations will be filled with starter quality players.

In a roundabout way, without Dennis Schroder, we wouldn't have Malcolm Brogdon. Talk about turning a rusty paper clip into a 5-br townhouse in a span of 9 months.

too funny. I bet if someone was to go through your post history, which I won't do since you're not worth more than these mocking retorts I provide, you'd find that you've sought out and responded to my posts more than any other poster on here by a wide margin. It's kinda creepy but alas they allow it so here we are :( And 95% of my posts to you are just in response to your weak attempts to "call me out". But listen, if you're having fun don't let me stop you. Obviously nobody else on here will.

I know, it's dangerous. We see the positive team culture around the Celtics lately. Heck, JT is perpetually in the running for Father of the Year the way he dotes on Deuce.

It just breaks my heart to see a young talent like Bridges throw it away, and I wonder if a change would help him get back on track. He's a perfect fit to back up JT/JB if he's willing to be humble and put in the work to get his head on straight.
