I would prefer Mitchell over KD as well. I kind of hate KD from a personality standpoint.

Anyway, I think this is a tactic from Ainge. Pretend Mitchell isn't available and then be pretty wishywashy about it... then make him available so that people are "grateful" that he is now available. Probably trying to up the offer.

Mitchell seems like the more realistic option. Zero hope on KD anymore. If Mitchell is moved then replacing him with Herro and three picks is a great option for them.

He’s trying to hike the price up and get another 5 picks. Ainge is ruthless and hates Riley but been saying this since before these rumors started.

Yea but with the way they fleeced the wolves Ainge will catch flack for not outdoing that for Mitchell. I guess the hope would be that our 3 picks 2 swaps Jovic and Herro being the main assets would outweigh that.

Obviously Id be thrilled if we got KD since itd probably mean a title. But damn hes such a bish and itd be hard to cheer for him. Mitchell who I really want but sadly hes young enough Jazz likely planning their rebuild around him if hes willing.

It would start with Herro, Omer, Jovic and 4 unprotected first round draft picks + salary filler.

If we wait until Mitchell becomes a FA, Butler will be 36 years old and he might be retired.
