If we are done making moves I am taking a break from Knicks this upcoming year. Still can’t believe we didn’t make a lottery pick

As a Melo detractor when he was here, I would welcome him back to the Knicks in a limited role.

Turns out he’s actually good and it was the Knicks who sucked

So true. And he didn't even suck in the second half of the season he was with the Knicks. (Over 40% from 3.)

As currently constructed we will be a play in team at best and locked into being a treadmill team. Worst case scenario.

I'm all for bringing him back and i think he already knows it would be in a limited role but he was decent last year.

He can definitely talk to him about NY fans and how to deal with the noise.

I thought he was perfect for Brooklyn Nets if they all stayed together. He would've had end of the game minutes at the 4 spot while Durant manning the 5.

But I would be glad for Melo to stay with us for 2 years. IQ, Melo and Rose potential 10+ scorers off the bench would be huge and can possibly bring down Randle's (if he is still here) minutes.

If u look at the standings, we are actually unique.

Good teams (usually 1-4 in each conference are roughly 20 games over .500.
Next tier is 5- 6 which are usually around 10-15 games over .500.
The bottom suckers like Orlando are usually 20 games under .500 or more.

The KNICKS are the only team in either conference in the Blah middle - 7 games under .500 this past year.

Probably 5 games over .500 next year if all goes well. We're never quite bad enough for a great draft pick or good enough to win a playoff series. So yeah, we are play-in "with a bullet"!

You know the off season can’t be that good when we have 3 signing and fans still begging for more moves.

Acting like this can’t be it. They can’t be done

Nope. Melo’s not that dude. The biggest example would be Iman and JR, who ended up winning a chip with Lebron after he cracked down on them. Can definitely be argued that Melo needed vets like Sheed and Kidd to crack down on him.

At this point, Julius should be talking to guys like ARod. Not that he’s as talented or getting as much shat or even did as much as ARod in terms of getting in trouble, but ARod at least had a stretch where he handled things well (before he got in trouble again lol).

This offseason was ok imo. It's just that last year was such a flaming hot unmitigated disaster they left themselves with no good options. Like taking over the Memphis Grizzlies only they did this to themselves.

Portland raved about Melo's veteran presence. He was a great mentor to them.
