Brooklyn can just take the haul of picks, Bridges and expiring's from PHX and then still likely get Kyle and Herro from us for Irving anyway.

Whereas PHX likely have no interest in Irving unless they planning on moving CP3 for him and the alternative for him will be what scraps you get from LAL.

If I'm Brooklyn I take the PHX deal and take Miami's deal for Kyrie.

So basically
Bridges, Crowder, Johnson, Saric, 4FRPs, Swaps from Phoenix for KD
Herro, Lowry, Strus from us for Kyrie.

Then Nets look to reroute Harris and some of pick/s to Indy for Turner

By all accounts we were not considering including Herro in a package for Kyrie. At this rate we might not even need to throw in picks.

I’m not giving up herro for one year of Kyrie

I wouldn't either, this would be with the assumption that he's going to extend his contract with us.

I mean if he’s extending obviously we could give a decent package, but that has to be a guarantee that he will extend

Indy want to sign Ayton. So they may be hoping Brooklyn don't arrange a S&T for Ayton for KD. So they offer a good deal for Turner. which could make Brooklyn lean towards a deal with Miami. That way Brooklyn don't need Bam, Indy get their guy in Ayton.

KD is under contract for 4 more years….
Unless he plans on retiring, the Nets will do what’s best for the Nets. Durant is free to either retire or play where he is traded too. The Nets have said they will consider accommodating his wish but the Nets come first.

If this is even the case with Miami even more, literally NOBODY is talking about KD to Miami anymore because we don’t have enough assets. The reporters, ESPN, fans and even the casuals.

Was watching espn earlier and they said Raptors,Pelicans and Hawks have good pieces to move (Perkins dumb azz said hawks) (they just traded a bunch of picks for Murray too). Chit a lot of teams have more assets than us :banghead:

Yeah Hawks can only send 2FRPs, If Pelicans send out Ingram and matching salary, Is KD thinking he's going anywhere with McCollum and 21yo Zion? Raptors have the assets to do it easily but would a VanVleet/Siakam/Durant trio be appealing enough to him? Could be possible but I also imagine KD not being very interested in living in Toronto.

I doubt the Heat are offering Lowry for Kyrie. Herro, Duncan, and a 1st

What use would we have with a Lowry/Irving back court with Dipo off the bench?

I think if he's not coming with a guarantee that he's signing long term then it would be like Lowry and a Protected 1st.

We would still need to beat any other deal out there for him though.

I'm just worried Miami will pretend to have zero interest in Irving so we have a shot at Durant and it blows up in our face and we don't get either and we run it back minus some key guys.

Dude please

Off-season be making y’all nutty I promise you.

What is Herro’s ceiling? Tell me because you all sound nutty defending him like hes special.

It’s better than a 7 footer who’s perpetually injured, and averages 6 rebounds a game for his career. That’s for certain. Be for real dude.

The fact the story came out straight after the Gobert trade that they are planning to build around Mitchell is such cap.

If that were true they wouldn't have made a trade that netted them basically picks and fillers. They would have traded for something that would get them something in return. They just trying to pump up Mitchell's price so they can maximise their return.

If I'm Utah I'm going full fire sale. Trade Mitchell, Clarkson, Conley, Bogdanovic and get all the expiring's and FRP's you can. Currently they have 9FRPs including their own after the trade for Gobert. Add 3-4FRPs you'd get from Mitchell and the 2 or 3 you could get trading Conley, Clarkson and Bogdanovic then you potentially have 14-16FRPs over the next 7yrs and have Herro, Jovic, Kessler, NAW and Vanderbelt as a starting point.

In 2005 after falling so close to Detroit, Riley pulled off the trade with most players involved in NBA history. Then in 2006 we won it all. Something drastic needs to happen so we can win it all again.

They are trying to get something drastic. They are trying for Durant and if that fails they wills switch gears to Mitchell. But neither is a guarantee. Sometimes you try and you miss out. But just because FO miss out doesn't mean they comfortable with the roster. This team has gone numerous changes over the past couple years to improve. I hope that fans don't turn on FO if they strike out.

Translates to "Donovan Mitchell would like to leave the Jazz and would be VERY interested in a trade at the Miami Heat!"

This comes at the same time as Woj's tweet.

Is there any indication he would consider being here. If not stay away from Kyrie. He's proven when he's unhappy he can wreck your team. We are better off running it back than with a Kyrie who doesn't want to be here

Might be a matter of time before we hear the inevitable "Donovan Mitchell has also requested a trade and chooses the Miami Heat or New York Knicks as his two preferred destinations."

Man i hope Herro isnt the hold up on any of these potential deals (Kyrie/Durant/Mitchell). Especially with Dipo back you do that right away. Butlers prime isnt gonna last much longer...

Herro is definitely being offered left and right. If he is not, then he would have received the extension already.

Can't trade him for 6 months after the extension.
