GS, Memphis are at the top. Then LAC, Denver, Wolves. I could see us being the #1 seed, I could see us in the play in. A lot would depend on health, and a lot depends on how fast they gel.

Dlo's health is the major question mark for me. Can he stay healthy? We are very thin at PG if he misses an extended amount of time.

If we had GoBear in this year's playoffs we would have beat Memphis in 4. I have us over them easy.

Hard to say, they are young and I think they'll take another step, and now Jackson should be able to play more against Gobert than KAT. Would be another really fun series.

I’m thinking right about where you guys were last year. Play in. Clippers will be loaded and Zion coming back you could be an 10 or 11 seed. Keep in mind they had to take Rudy out and games last year because teams hunted him using the pick and roll. They can do that against cat to the center is a dinosaur in today’s game.

Think of how easy that series against Memphis would have been if we had Gobert.

Huh

He had to go on the bench last year because teams were hunting him on the pick and roll

Troll alert! Troll Alert!

Bruh, we’re a lock for the top 4 in the West next year. Ant is a superstar in the making. Jaden is an up and comer. Dlo is a clutch closer. Kat is all NBA. Bench is pretty solid.

Get your popcorn ready!!!

Haha

Seriously, I think you’ll make the play in but you can’t compete with the top six teams in the west. This is not 1990 the two-center system will not work in the modern NBA.

KAT plays like a power forward. Two-center system a la Sampson/Olajuwon? They don’t shoot 3’s.

I'll take that bet in a second. Wolves will be top three next year easy. Your on crack.

After giving it some time to digest this afternoon, I’m feeling generally positive about the trade. But the truth is that the expectations are real now. If we’re not AT LEAST a top four seed in the west next year it will be a disappointment.

Teams that I think we’ll be competing with to get there include GSW, PHX, LAC, MEM & DAL. Gotta be better than at least two of those teams to make it happen. I think we can do it, but there are no guarantees…

Initial reaction it's hard for me to put us top three but realistically It's probably silly for me to not think we make a jump.

Just thinking quickly. I don't think we are better than the current healthy

Warriors
Suns
Nuggets

We are probably on par with healthy

Clippers
Nuggets

We are probably slightly better than a healthy

Grizzlies
Lakers
Mavericks

We should definitely be better than

Pelicans
Kings
Thunder
Spurs
Blazers
Rockets

We may be better than the Nuggets if they have a so-so year. Suns could also take a step back depending on what happens with Ayton. So top 4 team is a real possibility. I will confidently say top 6.

Yep top four minimum, but I think we can finish #1 in the west. It won't be easy. If Clippers have a fully healthy Leonard and George all year beating them will be really tough, but I think you can count on both of those guys missing a lot of games. Warriors who knows. They're getting old. Can Phoenix get another great year out of Paul? Memphis, Denver and Dallas IMO are no concern.

I'll raise you. Confidently top 3. Warriors, Suns and Clippers are the only teams I see potentially finishing ahead of us and one or all of them will falter.

Loving the optimism, and agree that the top four should be some combination of MIN, GSW, PHX and LAC (pending health on that last one in particular). But we’ll have to see how the rest of the off-season shakes out before we can make any official predictions.

PG: D’Lo (32)/J-Mac (16)
SG: Ant (34)/Nowell (14)
SF: McDaniels (28)/Prince (20)
PF: KAT (20)/Anderson (28)
C: Rudy (32)/KAT (13)/Naz (5)

Is an exciting and fun team on paper with much more complete and better fitting/complimentary players. I’d say they’re in the second tier in the West unless someone takes a major step (Jaden/Ant or even a Russell return to All Star levels with a legit roll man). Where in that second tier of the western teams will come down to health and how fast and well everyone can mesh.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

You underestimate how much better we will be. Top 4 in the west is a lock. Winning it all is a possibility.

We can win it all if KAT is a different beast at the 4, Jaden is one of the best perimeter defenders in the game, DLO balls out in a contract year and Ant becomes a superstar...Gobert is who he is and that's a DPOY player holding down the paint.

Or this could all be one giant mistake and we're fighting for our playoff lives.
