Just kill me now.

Seriously, Melo is the last thing this team needs. He's just a big distraction because it's going to be about his retirement all season long. Spare me.

If u look at the standings, we are actually unique.

Good teams (usually 1-4 in each conference are roughly 20 games over .500.
Next tier is 5- 6 which are usually around 10-15 games over .500.
The bottom suckers like Orlando are usually 20 games under .500 or more.

The KNICKS are the only team in either conference in the Blah middle - 7 games under .500 this past year.

Probably 5 games over .500 next year if all goes well. We're never quite bad enough for a great draft pick or good enough to win a playoff series. So yeah, we are play-in "with a bullet"!

As much as I love Melo, I prolly would rather him not be on the team either bc he's such a confident player, I'd rather have RJ, or Obi, or Quick or Grimes taking those shots and getting the experience... We already have Brunson who is a shot creator. Melo would be not enough basketballs. He'd help for sure but with Thibs I'd rather RJ blossom and others.

For a soon-to-be 34-year-old player.

Unless someone is juicing, this is where the skills begin to seriously erode.

Are there enough picks of value to go around in this? These are all players whom the team trading out could get a great haul for. At least Mitchell and the coward

Don’t they also have to flip Simmons to get this going ? I am assuming nets and jazz are going to be at each other’s neck demanding more picks

Yes you're right. Nets can't really trade for any young all stars

Is Denver allowed to trade Jamal Murray to BKN? If yes it would be worth considering. KD/Jokic may be good enough to win a couple titles there...

Imagine Brooklyn pairing Simmons with Porter Jr. That is a scary bench rotation.

I don’t think this can happen since the Nets can’t acquire Mitchell while Simmons is on the team due to the rookie extensions. It’s the same reason they can’t acquire Bam from the Heat or Booker from the Suns (before he took the extension)

The way yesterday started I was expecting other crazy trades. Maybe Silver made a memo for the teams to hold their horses. This shyt got out of control!

Correct me if I'm wrong but this only holds up as long as Simmons is on the team right?

Ah never mind, just saw the small caption stating basically that....

I know it's up on the RealGM scroll, but Raptors can trade a few young tall guys for KD, right?

Maybe they can throw in FVV, so NYC can have battle of tiny PGs
