Most people that said neither probably understand that we will need both to help Durant be a contender. There is no point to replace our best players with Durant, or we will be a second round exit team.

You need to add not replace.

Or they read the poll and decided they would prefer to send neither guy since the word prefer is right there, and we also have no say in the matter.

That too :)

Shocking how Doug is so willing to offer Scottie, he undervalues him

I don't understand why they let this moron Doug in the building. He's been trash for 20+ years.

Where's the option for either? It's Kevin Durant after all.

If forced to pick, Siakam.

Some dumbass posted the poll results on GB as some proof of Raptors fans homerism. What a joke.

I'd prefer not to give up one of them for KD. If it was pre-injury and prime-KD, it's a no-brainer, but not this version of KD who's 34 and couldn't even carry his team to a single win in the first round of the playoffs.

Trading Siakam seems like a lateral move. KD couldn't get a single playoff win with Kyrie as his sidekick, is FVV as his sidekick going to be any better? If Barnes was closer to his prime, I'd do it, but 34-year old Durant doesn't have time to wait on Barnes to reach his prime. On top of that, if things don't work out, you lose future draft picks and a very valuable trade asset in Siakam. KD needs to play with Siakam for this team to have any chance at contending.

Trading Barnes would make the team better immediately, but it's risky and mortgaging the future as you're giving up a future All-Star and draft picks for the next few years.

Any combination of the other guys makes sense to me, but Barnes or Siakam I'd be hesitant to do.

Ya, it's the same dumbass that's posted in this thread. He's a Raptors fan and went out of his way to try and make us all look bad.

*Face palm*
So that poster is that Raptors fans don't want the team to throw a mother load of picks, Scotty, Pascal, etc... For a soon go be 34 year old player with a extensive injury history that he needed to post that trash on the GB?

Wow...

Before I block you, I have to ask. This "KD" you speak of, is he the 2015 version of KD? How much better is he than the guy I personally witnessed fall to the floor in Game 5 of the 2019 Finals, THREE FRICKEN YEARS AGO, and not get up for the next two seasons.

I see teams keep trying to bring back the big names like Carmelo, or Blake Griffin (Lowry?). Years ago it was Allen Iverson and Shaq. But Father Time is undefeated. Scottie will get much better, Pascal will make more All-NBA teams in his healthy seasons, while Kevin Durant continues his decline (which has already begun).

As Masai says, the object is to win. Raptors without Pascal and with KD (a) doesn't have a centre, so is not a contender, and (b) is without draft picks to use or trade to achieve contender status. Raptors without Scottie and with KD (a) still doesn't have a centre, so not a contender, and (b) without a superstar once KD's production falls off a cliff in ~2 seasons.

This KD I speak of was a leading MVP candidate while leading the league in scoring before he got mid season injury last season.. and was a toe on the line of single handedly eliminating the eventual Champs Milwaukee the season before..yeah that kevin durant.

This Pascal you speak of... is it the same one that scored ZERO points in the second half and overtime in game 4??

Then a grand total of TWO points in the second half of game 6??

Go ahead and block me cause I'm blocking all the homers first

The KD you're getting got swept in the first round with his buddy Kyrie, that is the future KD a guy coming off major injuries. He needs lots of help. If the price is only Siakam for KD sure, but that's not what the Nets want. They want a lot more.

Cool, taking a Raptors thread topic and posting it on the General Board.

Now, we're supposed to believe he'd welcome a trade to the North?

PS: Your OWN players were telling you guys to shut up. I remember Lowry yelling at ppl to cut it out. That's an all timer right there. I don't understand why KD would ever welcome a trade there.

Ppl saying we can't trade Pascal cuz he's our 2nd fiddle. That's true but you underestimate how Scottie could fill that role especially if we keep OG Fred and GTJ or a couple of them. Scottie could have way better scoring numbers if he was in the same shoes Pascal was last year. He can be the #2 in the short term and easily in 2 years

What? Maybe here on the Raps board, but I've never seen it on the trade board or GB. I've heard some stuff about how the fans were cheering the turnover but that's nonsense and disproven by the fact that once again:

Your own players told you guys to stop.

We're supposed to believe that vets like Kyle Lowry and Ibaka don't know the difference between cheering an injury and cheering a turnover? Come on now. Please tell me that's not what you think happened....

You just don't get it. 34 year-old, one-legged KD is a god. He doesn't need help. You saw how he dismantled the Celtics in the first round this year, right?

That could be us if we trade our best assets for him!
