Can't get Booker, Donovan or Bam because of a rule?

The **** with that then.... no where to trade Durant.

I’m all about Barnes + OG and Trent, but I’m not sure how realistic any of these trade scenarios unfold. It’s all wishful thinking at this point until we see “serious negotiations” imo.

I don’t wanna get too worked up and fall in love with the ideal trade package only to be disappointed by the Nets organization once again.

Just hoping Marks can somehow reevaluate & redeem himself at the very least.

seems like it's either phoenix or toronto unless riley pulls something out of his hat. but i dont see it.

ayton, bridges, picks/filler makes too much sense. that's gonna be the deal. the leaks throwing cold water on it sound an awful lot like the harden/philly leaks when that seemed pretty obviously likely to happen.

it's KD's preferred destination, they are the odds leader, the nets rumored on ayton before the demand. toronto is a great stalking horse to give marks max leverage on the picks/swaps. maybe they have enough to get a deal done too and if so great. but i think that phoenix package is pretty strong.

then we just need to pray there's a way to get some picks from the lakers without having to swallow westbrook.

As somebody that has admittedly not seen too much Raptors basketball, is Barnes too much of an overlap with Simmons? From what I have seen, he's a bit better and more willing shooter, but the ball handling, passing, defense & physicality seems to overlap tremendously. It could work, but they could also get in each other's way & have diminishing returns.

I'm not taking Ayton. I don't care that Durant wants to go there.

Hes not good enough to replace Durant. I need an All Star level player back.

Jaylen Brown, Evan Mobley, Brandon Ingram, Paul George, Jimmy Butler, Anthony Davis are my targets.

Worst case Scottie Barnes.

Otherwise Durant can kick rocks. **** him.

What's the point? Team won't be as good as it was with Kyrie and KD and those guys are either pushing 30 or over 30. I think young talent that you can keep for a decade plus like Mobley or Barnes should be the priority.

Well I said Brown, Mobley, and Ingram were my priorities.

And I’ve probably seen even less Raptor basketball than you over the course of this past season, so I don’t even know if Barnes is THAT good or not.

If Simmons is the reason so many of these potential trades for all stars can’t happen, we can see if it makes sense to move him too, although I’m pretty sure his value around the league is too low, thereby making a trade with him involved not worth it.

Boston’s system is perfect for Brown. I don’t think his offensive game is good enough to warrant being a #1 option on a championship team. To be honest, I don’t know if I’d want him as a 2nd option either. And if he’s not going to be a first option, I don’t want to have to pay as if he were one come extension time.

I don’t feel that way about Ingram though. He looks like a true baller now. As long as he stays healthy (and that’s no guarantee) I’d definitely take him.

I haven’t watched enough of Mobley to have a feeling of his trajectory. Off to YouTube highlight compilations…

Yeah, that was hilarious.

Someone else said there would be a break in negotiations on Day 2 of free agency for Durant, and the same thing happened again.

You can tell a lot of these “insiders” make up theories that they hope to be true and present them as if they’re facts lol.

Barnes is a future all star. This is exactly the kind of player we need in a package return for Durant.

You don't worry about fit in this situation. Right now we need to ensure that we actually have a future post KD and Kyrie

Exactly. We need young guys with high upside to go along with Simmons.

Rumour has it Nets about to go on a tankathon and looking at Tobias Harris as tank commander & Thybulle & stuff. Likely three teams, but KD to Sixers. Stay tuned

Ayton should be involved, but to a 3rd team. Whatever team is interested in Ayton, the picks or players they were sending to Suns just gets diverted to Brooklyn.

That’s where I would start, finding the team most interested in Ayton and constructing a 3 team trade off of that. Bridges, Cam, picks, etc from the Suns and whatever they get for Ayton.

Yes. Windy is worse Stephen A when it comes to being an “insider” for me. He hypothesizes all of the time and what he “hears” from his sources almost always seems to never come to fruition. I wish I could get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars per year to conjecture and waffle.

Well if you see we not interested in Ayton, why even get PHX involved. Woj said Ujiri and Marks working around to find a way. Thats two top five GM's at work here.

Barnes, OG and expiring FVV ain't bad. Deal breaker is them picks.

KD and Kyrie better start looking for place in Toronto is my bet.

Outside of being a lapdog for LeBron/Klutch he's literally full of crap. The other day he said that we might trade both KD and Kyrie to the Lakers. For who??
