If Nets want a bunch of picks we're definitely out. I could see a team giving 3 picks and 2-3 swaps and a young player

Collins, Hunter, and all those picks given to Murray would've been a good starting point for Durant.

I don't think Miami is going to give Bam and Phoenix will give Booker.

Bridges and Ayton is actually a great return of they want Ayton... Otherwise I think our offer is decent
I don't believe Bam can be traded to Brooklyn unless they got rid of Ben Simmons first. Since Booker is extended now I don't believe he can be traded at the moment.

I think something is still possible. We have the young talent but are they appealing to Brooklyn? Time will tell.

Trae, Murray, Kevin Durant, and CC could be special.

I mean I would take Simmons if that is the case.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see something like Delon+Rui+FRP for JC.

Did you mean Deni?

Delon isn't eligible to be traded.

Oh gotcha. These rules always confuse me. I thought he was eligible because they were under the cap when they signed him. Figured they were just signing him to facilitate salary matching in a trade for JC

They were well over the cap w/ Beal extension

I think Nets know they're not getting Booker... My guess is they settle on 3 picks, 3 swaps, Ayton and Bridges from Phoenix

This franchise and this group of players is not ready for Durant, as he would come toooo early to go for a ring, when we need to fullfil a process of still developing Trae, Murray, Hunter, Bogi and possibly Collins or someone who comes here.

The problem now is that 80% of the franchises are stopped until the KD situation comes to and end.
Our chances of remodelling the roster come from getting Ayton for Capela or moving Collins.

The main thing I can see here is that OO is ready for more minutes. But he has not the size to play center and lacks the shot to be a PF. So it is difficult to find him a partner inside.

They said that Ayton cannot be traded to the Nets because the Nets are already hard capped. Ayton will have to go to a 3rd team.

If Simmons sits next season I expect the league to take legal action. I don't like the risk.

Nets can't get Ayton easily

The salary matching issues due to Base Year Compensation rule on Ayton would require the Nets to take on $8-10 million more dollars than are going out, and they are already WAY over the tax apron
acquiring Ayton in a sign-and-trade triggers the ‘hard cap’ which would require the Nets to immediately shed more than $20 million in salaries to get back under the tax apron and stay there

But they can get him....I don't know how they would shed that money

Anyway we can get Bridges in all this?

I love his game and fit with DJ and Trae

At the trade deadline the Hawks discussed Collins+ for Simmons. Philly tried including Harris - Hawks passed then so I don't see them wanting Harris without Simmons.

Could that possibly have had to do with adding $70 mil in payroll for 2+ years? Ben and Tobi weren’t a great fit together anyway, both are best utilized at PF.
Or do you think the Hawks purely don’t like Tobi?

Also, just as an outsider…what is the deal with Atlanta seemingly wanting to get trade Collins? He seems like a pretty good fit. Is he a bad teammate or something? Or just hasn’t lived up to expectations?
