Wiltside wrote:I’m still unsure on Mitchell. I get he’s a good player, a 25/4/5 guy. But we’re going to have to give up A LOT and while he’s clearly an upgrade on Herro, I’m not sure he’s that much of an upgrade to warrant the pile of picks we’ll have to give up.

I dunno, unsure. With KD, Atleast I know he’s All-World. Mitchell is legit but I worry about a 6’1” SG being a number 1 option deep into the playoffs.

Mitchell is a career 28-5-5 guy in the playoffs and has been every year of his career. He’s experienced and we have the perfect supporting cast for him to do his thing.

KD is obviously plan A but if we don’t come out with KD Kyrie Mitchell or some other random player at that level that become available then this offseason was a failure

If we dont make that trade last year, the durant trade would have happened yesterday.

What did lowry do for us in the playoffs.. we would have gotten to the ECF without him this past season.. hell there are stats out there that our team performed better with Gabe Vincent on the floor..

This is you down below right? Mad that we didnt offer Herro for Lowry at the deadline a couple years back. Imagine what kind of laughable trade packages we’d have to put together right now had we done THAT. Complete joke.

Vertical Limit wrote:Ive told yall... Nunn is better at everything in basketball over Herro... we seriously didnt offer Herro to Toronto for Kyle Lowry... do you know how stupid of a decision that was? And how shocking that is to me...

Thats like if Riley didnt trade for Shaq because he really believes Odom was the next Magic Johnson.. (riley made the comparison before).. riley has gone soft... in 2004 he would have made the trade every time..

He’s not alone. Anytime there’s a 2 hour stretch without a semblance of positive news, this board turns into a hurricane of tears with everyone **** on everything having to do with this franchise.

DrHeat wrote:An underrated factor here is what we gave up to get Lowry... Lowry salary is not the issue but Precious has been developing nicely in Toronto ( Even hitting some threes in actual games something Bam has not even attempted).. He would have added another young promising player to add to any packet. This is not even taking into account that we could have drafted Maxey.

I love that Miami front office makes wining now moves however that is also the reason we never have the assets when a star player becomes available.. Giving away so many picks for Dragic took us out of any significant trades from 2015-2021 along with some picks we gave away to get rid of terrible contracts. During that period several all NBA players became available in trade packages ( AD, Harden, Kyrie etc )

We just gave away a promising young player in Achiuwa for 36 y/o Kyle Lowry hence our assets are never enough

I agree with all of this. We fall in love with older players and trade away young guys.

Yea I just found this board and I would have thought during this two hours that this team hadn't won a playoff game in 20 years.

No issues with signing Warren to the TPMLE for one year prove it deal. Will have plenty of opportunities to prove it with the black hole that is our 4 spot.
