Chicago only chance is to be a 3rd team in a trade and take some mediocre players back in return. Brooklyn don't like what we have anyways.

Joe Crowley just confirmed this on the score I heard last night. Bulls have zero chance but they did make the call for Durant.

Now that Minnesota and Atlanta blew their FRP loads on the wrong guys, I’m not sure what Durant’s market is, with rookie max extensions like Bam not being legal trades with Simmons on their books.

What a disaster for BRK. I’d honestly just run it back- probably hire a new coach.

Would we/BRK do DeRozan/Ball/Vuc/Port pick for KD and JHarris? The money works
They would actually have a nice team, if everyone suits up
Ball/Irving/DDR/Simmons/Vuc, Curry/O'Neale/Claxton as main bench

We would have Ayo/Lavine/PWill/KD/Drummond with Caruso/White/JGreen/DDJ/Bradley as our bench

Not sure which team is better? I don't see why BRK wouldn't just force Irving to play out the year, and Ball is a perfect fit with him. Plus, they add 3 high character/no drama guys to their team

I'd definitely give it a shot for Durant but if that doesn't work I'd be happy to be the third team. It is a lot for a center these days but I don't think I would mind an Ayton S&T just because I don't think we have a lot of cap room going forward anyway and he is mobile can defend well block shots and shoot and age wise he fits these guys well so I do think he's a really good fit.

I just wouldn't want to give up a lot to get him on top of the contract which is why this is good opportunity. Since it's the middle of the Durant deal we probably wouldn't have to give up too much because they just want the deal to close so it seems like a great opportunity for us to get some talent without giving up too much or having a lot of value pieces. It would also be good to help KD go west if we can't land him and then I guess the cherry on top would be sticking it to Riley.

I read that Durant wants to go to MIA, but only if they keep Butler, Bam, and Lowry. He's starting to come across as spoiled as Lebron.

I think NO would be a good place to trade him to. Ask for Zion in return. NOP would still have plenty left without Zion- they made it to the playoffs last year without him. And BRK would get a young budding superstar (albeit with a lot of risk) in return.

Bulls have a chance. No teams are trading stars for Durant.

It's been said here already and in the media, but this is feeling more and more like when Kobe was asking out of L.A.

He wanted to go a team with other good players, but there was no way a team could keep most of their good players in a trade for a truly all-time great, generational talent, still in their prime.

I doubt it, but I think there's a small chance we see the same outcome as we did with Kobe, and KD ends up staying in Brooklyn.

I empathize with Suns fans... I remember being a Bulls fan when Kobe demanded out and it was known that Chicago was his preferred destination, and it never materializing. I don't think any of us have let go of that pain lol.

Actually it’s the opposite with Durant, why would you willingly invite cancer into the organism?

Murray and Gobert are more conducive to winning than Durant…….yes that’s what it’s come to.

I do feel bad foot the Nets and their fans.

Lol all the Raptors gave up was DeMar who they didn’t want anymore.

AK is working on the margins.Nothing special happening for the Bulls in free agency.Prepare yourself for another exciting preseason games followed by a 40-45 regular season winning record with another 1st round exit. And don´t forget about being excited how Pat´s game has evolved.

I’m perfectly fine with running it back.

I'd say everyone except Derozan. I think Zach has to be included for this to happen.

That’s not happening so no trade is happening.

He has 4 years left with Brooklyn too and look what’s happening he already wants to leave. The contract years doesn’t mean anything if it’s Durant. He can just demand for a trade again.

The truth is though a half hearted Durant is worth more than Lavine, Derozan, Vuc, etc fully locked in and balling out as hard as they can.

No he isn’t at 34 and injury prone.

Good because I don’t want him. If we could get some good role players in a deal I would take it.

He is just as spoiled and looking for easy championships. Why do you think Phoenix was a top choice? His super team failed and now he wants another super easy on paper situation. I’m glad he won is the gold, but he is a coattail rider.

After mulling it I’m just not interested. Would gutting our assets for Durant get us closer to a title? Probably. But pinning my hopes to a 34-year-old with tons of flight/injury/decline risk sounds joyless to me.

My guess is they'll find a deal similar to the Gobert package, and not beyond. I think most GMs will respond to the Nets that just because the Wolves are bat**** crazy doesn't mean I am.

You may be right. Durant is obviously Durant, but Gobert is four years younger, has a much better health history, and didn’t try to limit his team to a couple preferred trade destinations. I could definitely see the haul KD brings in being a bit lighter.
