Just seeing now, that Brogdon is from Atlanta.

Bet him and JB will hit it off! :)

They both came into the league during the same season too..

They have worked together off the court and have spoken highly of each other. Not only was this a great on the court trade, but one underrated aspect of it is the chance to keep JB happy to be in Boston.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

They led a protest together in 2020 after George Floyd. Brogdons grandfather was a civil rights leader.

Wow. And we know how much black people's rights means to JB. Damn, these 2 must be really close. I'm even more pumped now.

Brogdon - 6'5"
Brown - 6'6"
Tatum ' 6'8"
Gallo - 6'10"
Horford - 6'9"

That's our small ball, 5-out lineup.

That's bigger than our "big" lineups during the last few years of Ainge's tenure

Strictly going by height, it's bigger than our starting lineup from this past year which everyone was saying works in part because we overpower teams with size. Gallo taller than Rob and Brogdon taller than Smart. Obviously I'd say this lineup PLAYS smaller but you get the point.

There's really no trade-offs on this team. Of our top 9, Gallo is the only one-way player. Ime isn't going to have to make tough calls of sacrificing offense for defense or size for shooting. Obviously there are some wrinkles to it - probably should have Smart/White/Rob on the floor at the same time as our 3 worst shooters for example - but it's about as well rounded a rotation as you could put together. Your offensive groupings play defense, your defensive units can space the floor, etc.

This stud answers 2 questions. A playmaking PG(see thread) and a 3rd scorer. 2 birds one stone. And he gives us good d.

The only question here is health. Otherwise this is a home run trade.

IINM, Brogdon is only the 3rd Rookie of the Year awardee that's played on the Celtics in the last 30 seasons. Shaq (1993) and Kyrie (2012) were the other two.

Useless trivia, I know, but who's gonna stop me??

Great fit from a talent level, obviously the injury history is a concern. Need that 3 point percentage to go up from last year though.

Career 42% 3PT catch and shoot. He was lethal in MIL and will get similar looks in Boston
