I’ve been a victim of A Woman lying and sells my lie. Police don’t hear you out, treat you like crap and rough you up. Now if someone really did something like this. They fully deserve it, but it’s a terrible feeling when it happens to you when you’re innocent. Based on the evidence I feel he is done. His career is done, the league should move on because it’s terrible

Sorry about your situation, but thing is, at least at this level, stuff comes out. Some porn star tried to do it do Dante Cunningham and her text messages (forged his) did her in and saved his butt. Here Mychelle seems a person who has displayed real character all her life. While Bridges seems a wannabe R.Kelly/rapper smashup drinking lean and playing his idea of Kanye.

I agree, I hope society as a whole learns to gather facts before reacting impulsively. Especially when it comes to Men and stereo types that women with bad character thrive off of

I too hope that one day, we can rise from the tyranny of women making false accusations against men, which as we all know is far more prevalent than women being afraid to speak up for fear of retribution. Which never happens because every accusation is taken as truth and men are locked up without trial, definitely no cases where women are ignored by police or even told they "deserved" it because of what they were wearing or because they provoked their partner or anything

Really, it's the men who are the real victims here.

It seems like a Collins and Huerter type deal for Kevin Door-ant would have made the most sense.

It’s situational, that’s why gathering the facts is crucial in deciding this. I guess Men can’t ever be the victim or lied on these days. You would think Johnny Depp’s case proved that this is more prevalent the we think. Some people are garbage whether they are male or female. Men who are victims fail to speak out or charge women because of the attitude displayed in your post. It’s a double standard. Terrible

To imply it’s not is disgusting . Why?? because women are made of sugar and spice and everything nice? They can’t be terrible to men? Some data shows there is a drastic difference. But there are pieces of data that shows that men and women experience near the same level of abuse data wise. It depends on what sheet of data you’re looking at. Like I said, in every case gather the facts

1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. This includes a range of behaviors (e.g. slapping, shoving, pushing) and in some cases might not be considered "domestic violence." 1
1 in 7 women and 1 in 25 men have been injured by an intimate partner.1
1 in 10 women have been raped by an intimate partner. Data is unavailable on male victims.1
1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men have been victims of severe physical violence (e.g. beating, burning, strangling) by an intimate partner in their lifetime.1

Yes

But if your whole argument is "I'm so logical and rational, I wait for all the facts instead of reacting impulsively" but then you react impulsively to impose a higher burden of proof on the woman because of your own experiences, that kind of kills your argument

If it happened to me, I would still know that, factually speaking, that was an anomaly. It's far more likely statistically for a woman to not report being assaulted than it is for a man to be falsely accused. And it's further disgusting to point to one high profile case of a woman lying while ignoring the data that hundreds of thousands if not millions of cases of domestic violence/sexual assault go unreported every year. That also defeats the "look at facts, not react impulsive" argument he's got going on

I do wait for all the facts, but I treat both sides as innocent until proven guilty. What he's pushing is to have men be innocent of what they're accused of until proven guilty while women are guilty of lying until proven innocent, which should not be how it works.

You sound like someone jaded by a personal experience going out of your way to find data to back up your feelings

If you genuinely believe that women falsely accuse men at near the same rate that they don't report domestic violence/sexual assault, then you do not live in reality

The rate of false allegations is somewhere in the 2.5%-5% range. It's difficult to say how many go unreported, but some studies suggest at least half go unreported

So at best, 1 in 20 cases are false allegations, but for every allegation, there's also one that goes unreported

It's not even close, you're clouded by your own experiences not gathering data and reacting impulsively

Knox wrote:Did I say gather the facts and decide for men only ?

No, but the fact that you're more concerned about false allegations than women not reporting when one is significantly more common than the other says a lot.

You clearly haven’t read anything I posted in its totality. Still waiting to see if I mistyped…. That or said gathering the facts apply to Men only. To assume that Men are inherently more evil than women because of their private parts is crazy to me. I am saying treat every person equally and gather the facts. More than likely the male is the aggressor because of his sex is sexism.

Again, be fair. It's not a football game. We should all be concerned about the truthfulness of all allegations wherever they arise. Case by case. Might not fit our sound bite society but a little work to find the truth in each case would be nice instead of instant votes aligned by loyalty to one's preconceptions. No one has a monopoly on truth. And no one has a monopoly on lies. And I support Mycelle.
