The Dallas Mavericks are expected to retain Frank Ntilikina for next season, sources told Marc Stein.

Ntilikina's contract for $2 million becomes guaranteed on July 4.

Ntilikina averaged 4.1 points last season.

They had a chance last season to add Schroder if I recall and he did not get a call.

Looks like PG duty is falling from Luka to Din when Luka is on the bench and that will be the case for most of the time. If not Din then Frank will get a look since he was a lottery pick, # 8 if I recall and he came into the league as a top rated PG.

Hardy could also be counted on to provide minutes at PG since I think that is what he played with Ignite the one season he was with them coming straight out of HS as the 2nd rated player in the country.

If those 4 cannot get the job done so that we need 5 PG's I would think sometime before the TDL we can trade Powell and Kleebers expiring contracts to get us a PG or if it turns out we do have a find in Frank or Jaden then we can use those contracts to find the BPA and get us another star that has I believe 20.08 MILLION in salary plus the overage what is that 15%? if so that should get us someone with up to 23.1 in salary coming back. If Bingham is a decent center you can afford to make that kind of move otherwise I would want to keep Kleeber still. I might want to do that anyway. Just depends on who that player we get back is.

With Dragic being signed in CHI, it is okay to keep Frank at 2m for 1 more year. Now we still have 1 final roster space left, assuming we are going to sign Hardy to multi year contracts. I think DAL should be no rush to use this space first, unless opportunities come to us, keeping the roster flexibilities may be the best option.

2 million is less than 2.9 million plus he may start to play well enough to depend on.
