how so? did any of those seasons end in titles? why should we proud of just making an ECF, or making a Finals? wrong kinda of mentality to have imo.

Cause it’s an incredible accomplishment to make it to the conference finals…

That's a fair point. I don't think Jimmy hates the organization and wants to leave. I'm not deluded or have a narrative (I'm not sure what it would even be). Perhaps "wasting" was the wrong word (I typed it fast while working on something).

I just feel bad that Jimmy has to give a Herculean effort without enough scorers around him and there isn't a long window with him. He's gotten as far as he's ever been of course, but the East is only getting better. I would love to see a star next to him so it sucks. It would really suck if he fights for his life every year, and it doesn't end up with a title because we couldn't put enough talent around him. It is what it is I suppose. At least we tried.

Nobody really knows anything so people will just be talking in circles and feeling gloomy, which isn't very productive. People are probably better off taking a break from the news and the discussions. I know it's addicting though.

All we can do is wait.

& what do you think we've been trying to do....bake a cake?

Not that this is worth replying to but you dismiss the hard work & obstacles we went through to get into the position to attain the opportunities we've had. Last season in particular we battled through key players absences & fortunate to have a talented 3rd yr player carry us offensively. We fought through the many injuries in the PO's, which took detail in strategies & adjustments to continue to compete & did it w/out Herro & Duncan's productions, as well as Lowry for a stretch. It was a hell of an accomplishment to make it just to the ECF considering we were fighting an uphill battle throughout. Spite of that we achieved 1st seed in the East & took it to a gm7 in the ECF. We fought as hard as we could, you can't dismiss all that because we couldn't go all the way to hold up the trophy. The process always counts & is absolutely something to be proud of. Over half the teams in the NBA wished they could taste even a little bit of what we have had.

We’ll, that’s one gone. A sign of potential movements? I would have assumed he’d wait to see who are true contenders before taking the TPMLE somewhere

This has been one of the strangest starts to free agency in recent memory. So many big stars are going to be on the move, none of them have moved, but they've brought free agency to a complete standstill.

Cliff notes?

Its still going on, I had fallen asleep.

-Heat cant get close to reported offers for KD
-Kyrie is the litmus test for Heat culture. If Spo, Jimmy, UD are what we say they are it should be no problem keeping him in line.
-Thinks Mitchell is more likely next summer.

That was the reason my initial opinion on trading for Kyrie changed. If Heat culture is really a thing, then Kyrie shouldn't be a problem. On the court, the guy can ball. He would make a good 1-3 next to Jimmy and Bam. Heat culture has to do what it does off the court.

Just catching the end:
- Jazz waiting for Spida to say he wants out, to maintain the appearance of being the “bigger” party.
- Unless a true godfather trade falls in their lap, they’re keeping him until next offseason, at this point.
- If Mitchell says “I want out to Miami” next off-season, no team offers anything that beats Miami.
- Sounds like Mitchell to Heat is expected by the league, but may not happen until next year.
- described Mitchell to Miami as a “when” if he gets to FA from Jazz, but “if” if he gets traded elsewhere this offseason.
- Herro is seen as less than Mitchell, but Herro on any other team is probably averaging better ppg & seen as a bigger asset.

- Nets owner will make KD happy by trading him to a location he’s happy with, but will get the best for them at the same time. Will likely want it done asap, but are wanting to get youth while being competitive.
- From what he’s heard, KD is most looking at the potential to win & the vibe around the team/franchise. He sees him as being happy with Toronto, depending on the value given.
- Heat need KD to say Heat is his #1 for Heat to be in the running. Most of the FO work is on that front, not on the Nets front
- Simmons is seen as being the core of the next team, unless they get a Mitchell/Bam type return (where they have to move him).
- Kyrie is going to LA. League assumes it’s done, and teams aren’t interested in offering anything of value. If not this year then 100% next. Westbrook is assumed to be gone in the deal as well, but it’s unknown as to his landing location. Laker are the only team talking to the Nets atm, but that may change if teams get desperate after missing out on KD.

- Keeping Bam is seen as key for long term success, regardless of the player obtained. He’s essentially untouchable for all but the top-5 players (or there about)
- TJ Warren may take less than TPMLE to rehab value, if the right situation presented & there weren’t desirable TPMLE offers out there. Sees his situation as like Dipo last season
- Herro is seen as better than Sexton, now and in the future

- Dipo being on the roster, so early, and Herro not being extended is signs that Heat are confident they will get something done this offseason

- there are other rumours about names being linked to Heat behind closed doors, but Adam didn’t want to say in a spaces (long, pregnant pause before he shut down the question)

Make of it what you will …
