Cmon Marson you know you miss that Kelly Keeper. Can't be any worse then the houses Duncan's been building since that contract. Beggars can't be choosers when it comes to what you are going to get with Duncan.

For Herro, no thanks.

Kyrie might be better now but considering age, character, salary and just him being unbearable - I'd pass.

And it feels like that's where it is now. Herro wouldn't need to be included. So you trade Lowry and draft compensation for Kyrie. If he goes AWOL then all you've lost for him is a retired PG and picks you were going to trade anyway. If that's all it takes then it's an easy choice for me.

Lowry is not an expiring contract. Westbrook is

Another wrinkle in this, if the Nets plan on keeping Simmons, he could use a mentor. Kyle is a pretty stand up guy. Would think he'd be an excellent guy to have teaching and in the huddle.

What's the Nets cap situation in Lowrys final year? Would he help them meet the salary floor since they're trading everyone of value?

There are several teams with a PG need.

I'm tending to lean towards next year being a lot easier to get something done via big trade.

Sure but how many see Lowry as the answer? How many say, "man that sure looks like a good contract, lets trade for him?" How many say lets voluntarily give up some good assets for him...... That's where reality comes into the picture.

Now say Lillard gets a a 3 year 200 million extension and they blows his ACL, then sure I can totally see Lowry as the answer.

In terms of trading Lowry I thought I found a pretty good deal to be had sending him to a desirable destination(LA Clippers) for Marcus Morris and Reggie Jackson. Salaries match up nicely. Twix responded by saying that Clippers already found there PG in John Wall but I kinda view him more as a backup or could used in a nice tandem with Lowry. Why it makes sense for the Clippers? They currently have a glut at the 4 spot and Jackson is an up coming expiring. They could upgrade at the PG spot over Jackson with the battle and playoff tested Lowry who won a chip with Leonard. Wall and Lowry could be viewed as a solid 1-2 at the PG spot and also have the luxury of splitting minutes and preserving the both of them.

In terms of how it helps us out. Marcus Morris slides into the starting 4 role and Jackson though not anything special is reliable and can mix and match in with Vincent. Also gives us the chance to possibly take a look of a backcourt of Herro and Oladipo with Butler in the starting unit.

C Bam Adebayo
PF Marcus Morris
SF Victor Oladipo
SG Tyler Herro
PG Jimmy Butler

Thats a limited view. The question is can you find a team that has a surplus at one position and is weak at PG. By all accounts Rui Hachimura was available at the deadline last year. Washington has added some wings, they also gave their franchise player a quarter billion dollar extension with no running mate. Does a swap there make sense? Certainly. And im not saying thats what they will do, but thats what the thought process should be.

I don't see a trade match with the Wiz and if we do end up trading Lowry I see us doing everything we possibly can to get him on a contender. That's why I think my proposed deal with the Clippers makes some sense.

The only reason Olynyk is appealing AT ALL is his salary. Due 12.8 mil this upcoming season, then only has a 3 million partial guarantee for the season after. So thats 15.8 mil due over the next two seasons.

Meanwhile Duncan has 64 MILLION due over next four seasons.

Blink twice if we are trading for Kyrie.

Blink three times if we are trading for Collins.

Just close your eyes if we aren't doing either.
