I think they put him in the GL and ready to call him up for injury reasons to any of our guys...

Well it depends on whether our FO thinks its better for him to see games or practice with the "big boys"

Conspiracy: what if Caleb will be on the roster but KD's drama is holding up a move for us?

I really feel like a consolidation move is near.

If they don't have something lined up for Ross, then at least 2 guys who think they should be playing regularly are going to be out of the rotation completely.

I definitely agree that a consolidation trade would make a lot of sense.

To me this signals that the Magic so far are not overly impressed with Chuma Okeke's performance and may be seeking another combo forward who can shoot the three with more consistency.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

I don't see that (Chuma or anyone, specifically targeted)...they had to draft at SOME position...combo forwards who hit 3's run the game now. I could even see him slide to 2 in weird lineups. If he can make open shots, they'll find a spot on the floor for him.

Yeah... I don't think it means anything either. I love chuma and what he can still be. And funny thing is .. personally.... Looking at his videos... Though 6'8" I was always envisioning a shooting guard with the way he moved and played on Michigan.

If he does better and earlier than expected... Can I see him making chuma expendable if we have to start consolidating talent... Possibly. But... Definitely don't see them bringing him in specifically for that purpose.

3 and D are at a premium now. I’m not surprised if they want to develop another one as an asset

If we have 15 players on this roster, how is it possible to sign this guy if he does well during summer league? I don’t want him to waste his tryout here if we have no possibility in signing him.

Chuma shot 37.6% overall from the field and 31.8% from three, I think they are clearly looking for someone who can shoot better than him. If Chuma had been shooting the ball better, I think there would have been a better chance that we would have drafted a player at a different position.

You can have 20 players on the roster in the offseason and all the way up until the start of the season when you have to narrow it down to 15.

Houstan could also get a two-way contract.

You can never have too many 3 & D wings... with that said, can we do the Chuma special on him if he agrees? Like workout, train, whatever with the GL team and we will sign you to your rookie contract next year? That is assuming we are fully loaded in the roster.
