This is especially true given the TPMLE is our only tool to upgrade through free agency.
If you think about it Josh Okogie just signed for the minimum with the Suns. Martin wasn't even making the league minimum for most of the year. 2.3 million is a nice raise compared to what he was making last year with a chance to make a lot more next year with us if he stays. Even if some team offer's him 3-4 million I still think it's better for him to stay. Give him a player option on a two year deal for a little more security. If anyone is going to reward him with an overpay next year it's going to be us.
