This is especially true given the TPMLE is our only tool to upgrade through free agency.

If you think about it Josh Okogie just signed for the minimum with the Suns. Martin wasn't even making the league minimum for most of the year. 2.3 million is a nice raise compared to what he was making last year with a chance to make a lot more next year with us if he stays. Even if some team offer's him 3-4 million I still think it's better for him to stay. Give him a player option on a two year deal for a little more security. If anyone is going to reward him with an overpay next year it's going to be us.

Yeah, I think it's that Mitch and KD aren't realistic. We don't have the quantity/quality of assets to pry those guys away. Due to Irving's peculiarities, we could be near the head of the pack for him. He's realistically attainable.

We would have killed to have one single guy to push us over the hump when our 2nd and 3rd options on offense weren't producing at the level we needed them to. Replace Lowry with Irving and we might be watching highlights of our 2022 championship right now.

Wonder what Yurt7's value around the league is. Would Utah consider him the equivalent of a (late) 1st rounder? If so, I can definitely see Utah being interested in this, but if he's just a filler and Utah is going the Miami route of hating bigs, then this will be a non-starter.

Who cares about this guy’s personal believes outside of basketball. This is true talent needed to accomplish the ultimate goal. My hope is that the Heat ownership/ organization stops with the nonsense of driven agendas that has absolutely nothing to do with the actual game.
