I know this is not a KD related question but how did Blake look last season? Is he completely washed or didn’t have a good role last season?

He's pretty washed but still serviceable.
His 3pt shot went kaput tho

Bridges was first team defense and got votes for dpoy. he's an elite 3 & d. championship pedigree at nova. Solid contract for 4 years. Him and Simmons together are building blocks for an elite perimeter defense. I'm not saying I think he's going to have the Kawhi type ascension but I wouldn't say he can't do that either.
FVV is all toughness and his shooting is a really nice compliment to Simmons. He was rumored to be nearing a 4 year extension at $110m so that would be part of the deal for me.
Those are 2 guys who can be your 2nd or 3rd best player in a championship lineup. And obviously you hope Simmons can also be on that level. There are only a handful of guys with the upside to be #1's for a championship team, which is why KD is going to bring back what he will even at 34.
Ayton, OG, Cam Johnson, GTJ are all solid extra pieces with picks. I like them in basically that order.
If they send us FVV and OG i might consider it.

PHX offers: Ayton (he accepts less), Bridges, Johnson and 3 picks.
Miami offer: Herro, Duncan Robison, Lowry, 3 picks
Toronto offers: OG, Trent and 3 picks
What deal would you prefer?
Frankly? None of them. Durant is under contract for four years, there is no reason to accept less than fair value for a top 10 player.
ok but lets say tsai and marks dont want to go through a simmons situation and feel the pressure of making a deal this off-season, which would u take
None. There's no all stars available. Lowry is a fat pig

Prefer the Sun's deal - Bridges on that contract is the main prize and future picks from Sun's (24 on) could look promising.

Acquiring Bridges would give us 2 All-Defensive 1st team members along with Simmons.
Now, all we need is a shot creator and we can be a good, respectable team.

If we can pull off a 3 way and end up with Bridges and Anfernee Simons + picks that would be a good haul. S&T Ayton to the Blazers and we get picks from both the Suns and Blazers

Every report that been posted has Barnes in it. Apparently picks is the main issue. Masai not willing to part ways with them in a long run.
Market/FA being stagnant tells me PHX, Heat and Craptors doing work. Wont be surprised where OKC comes up as a third team and things will pick up pace. Though as reported, don't expect anything soon, probably things will drag into training camp.
Kyrie situation is most complicated. That dumb ass killed all market for himself. It's like he has a black mark on him and teams scared to approach. LA not willing to part ways just verifies it. Even Joe Harris wasn't enough to move the needle. He needs to be moved sooner rather than later, he's the main cause of this chaos. I strongly believe we can not afford to have him on the roster when training camp kicks in. It'll be disastrous for us, no telling what he might do.

Barnes, OG and 3 picks will do it and then you haul off Kyrie to Charlotte for that package and we are square and solid; route SImmons to Utah with one of the picks for Mitchell. Mitchell/Barnes/Co is a solid group; in a couple years, you shoot for Jaylen Brown.

Ainge is stock piling picks; he did this with Boston in 2013, at our expense of course, and now he is doing it with Utah. I don't think they keep Mitchell.

You need to check Danny Ainge's resume. Than check Sean Marks and his resume, these two will never be able to make a trade between them.
Ujiri is an interesting case. He definitely the type that will take a risk and try to maximize potential. I can see him fleecing someone to appease Marks to a degree.

It will depend how much ACC will give up. Marks just gave up 1st for Royce ( very questionable move imo ). What you think Ainge will ask for Spida. My advice, skip any trade report where Ainge and Marks involved. Them two will never agree on anything.

I don't think you trade Simmons for Mitchell. It would take a lot for that to happen and is the latter even a more impactful player?

16 months ago, Simmons was considered the better player. People forget how good he was.

Why did KD request a trade ? Because The Nets didn’t commit to Kyrie in a multi year contract ?

He hasn’t said that explicitly, but when you connect the dots of the timeline of off-season events, it’s the only logical explanation.

more than that i think they told him they were going to trade kyrie. remember he requested the trade in a meeting with tsai, i think kyrie opted in, the nets decided they were going to try to trade him, told KD so he didn't get blindsided by it, and KD asked out because he thinks he needs kyrie/feels loyal to him.
if kyrie had opted in with a good attitude or taken a team friendly deal in philly (like harden did) i think none of this happens. but he chose chaos and the nets were over it. Kd is caught in the middle of that.

Agreed. While we don’t know if Simmons will ever be 100% healthy after his back surgery, he’s a DPOY candidate when available.
I’d love for Mitchell to prove me wrong, but I don’t think he’ll ever be a serious OPOY/MVP contender. And given his size and inefficient scoring, I also have doubts about his effectiveness as his team progresses in the playoffs. I can’t envision him as a #1 option on a title-winning team.
We do need Ben to gain some semblance of an offensive game, so he can stay on the floor during slow, half-court playoff battles.
