Walker Kessler for the wing rotation and Isaiah Roby for a big men rotation; than trade Powell for guard (Graham?) and that's it.

Dinwidde.........Graham...........Ntlikina
Doncic............THJ................Hardy
DFS................Bullock
Wood.............Edwards / Roby / Bertans / Green
McGee............Kleber

15 man rotation is pretty much set the mavs will concentrate on SL and see what works and if they need anything more. After SL they may talk about a few guys but that will be tire kicking mostly.

I still think Buddy for Powell and Hardaway is possible. RC loves Powell. Hardaway defends better. If Indiana intends to move on from Turner, Powell offers low dollar solution. And Hardaway is more cap friendly in a long-run.

As for the Mavs, Buddy plays better off balls with more perimeter skills. the contract ends the same year as Dinwiddle. This allows the Mavs to be a buyer in 2024.

And this trade also removes potential locker room problem and create a spot for Bingham.

Feels more like it creates a lockerroom problem. Hield been crying about starting on the bench while thj always been a good soldier and teammate. Also thj defense makes him more valuable then hield for me. Not even getting into contract differences.

Imo, against better judgement, think keeping powell till the trade deadline is best, and if some spot needs an upgrade at that point his value should be at ots highest and those 11m expiring could be important in a trade.

Dallas has its version of Heild in Jaden Hardy. Just develop that one while he is cheap. Like I said, no use pouring in the funds if there is no way to get on top of Golden State or the LA Clippers.

Darren wrote:Dennis Schroder makes the most sense. You never know how Dinwiddle performs without Brunson. With 20M per, I think the Mavs are better off not putting all eggs in one basket.

1 of the 6 PGs from the Bulls also make sense. But I think it is difficult to get a deal done with limited assets. I am not very interested in Kyrie trade as Kyrie will only sign with Lebron in a year. I have not counted the fit or potential locker room problems at all.
Dennis Schroder does make perfect sense on the court for us. Should I be concerned about his presence in the lockeroom because I kind of am.

He's had some issues off the court in the past but I hope that's behind him now.

We'll see if Jaden comes close to being the shooter Buddy Hield is. I have my doubts! Jaden's not even in the same class as far as shooting goes so I believe a Heild comparison isn't good.

Why IND is willing to take on more current salary (THJ+Powell represent more current year money than Buddy), and future salary (THJ has one more year under contract than Buddy), without any incentives? RC's love on his old players is really overrated here.

Yeah but my point is you got a bargain bin version. No use spending big bucks every year for the same result. Hield is a total of like 22 times what Hardy is earning but should not produce 22 times the result or is 22 times better than the other guy.

Mavs have highly paid players like Dinwiddie and Hardaway that I want to see maximized. If anyone needs to step up, its the next guys who are paid like they matter. That's like $40M bucks between those two and the Mavs are not getting $40M worth of production or return from their investment.

Chris Fedor said you guys might be interested in Collin Sexton, but that the Cavs don’t like any pieces you have to realistically offer in a trade.

I don't think Rose is possible. Apparently him and Brunson are pretty darn close and Thibs loves the guy too.

He would be awesome here though.
