It's hard to not see Chet being a useful NBA player if his shot is anything close to this legit, defense looks solid.

Superstar, who knows, it's one game, but he looks good.

It's not about it being one summer league game it's about seeing how his game translates to a different style of basketball. His game is tailor made for the modern game don't be upset if you couldn't see it.

People said the same thing about Anthony Randolph when he dropped 42 in summer league.

People said the same thing about Obi Toppin when he dropped 42 in the dog days of the regular season. :D

Luka,Chet,Edwards,Ja...ect the league is in good hands as James,KD,Harden,Paul...ect fade away.

Nothing like Luka at all. More Dirk and Durant. He doesn't have the ball in his hands that much and plays within the offense and flow of the game. Looks like he can pass exceptionally well too

There was never a question about Chet’s game translating. The question is about his frame.

Yeah, but you also get hyper fixated on players you like. I saw it with Suggs last year and you blamed everything on the Magic and nothing on Suggs being complete ass on offense. And I'm a HUGE Suggs fan who think he's going to be really good and is a hard worker. His defense is for real already.

Two things can be true at once... but if you're going for "I told you sos" after one summer league game, I got some bottled sink water I could sell you for $30.

The same goes for people being anti-Chet. He looks really good and just because it's bad competition doesn't mean it won't work against NBA guys.

Chet was far and away the best talent in the draft, none of this should be surprising.

People talked themselves out of him, it was always a fools errand.

Yeah I know. Sometimes he’s not though so I never know for sure when he’s serious.

I think there must be value in SL bc these teams send literally 15 coaches to the games and seem to take it seriously. Reps prob have a lot to do with it but just bc Randolph was a bust doesn’t mean there’s no value. What do you think?

Yea, I don't troll. You guys are acting like I'm the first person that has ever claimed summer league performance doesn't translate.

The only reason Chet wasn't the obvious #1 pick is he is a super skinny player. I also think people were nervous because is a white american player, and there hasn't been any star caliber white americans in forever.

His game on both offense (shooting) and defense (shot blocking) was never questioned.

Chet looks good. Shooting numbers aside, he will be a much bigger offensive weapon in the NBA than people anticipated. Expect him to be a true two-way player.

Didn't use the jumper in college as much as he could have.

18/3/2/2 in 12 minutes. I mean it can’t be a bad thing, right?

The magic are going to regret not taking Chet big time. Banchero doesn't have half of the potential, and I'm not even sure he's a better player on day 1.
