A marginal player who's biggest claim to fame is being 'the other curry', and a mental case who is pretty crap offensively (if he ever steps foot on the floor again) is hardly the "multiple 1st round picks, talented veterans, and expiring contracts" I was hearing about.

Frankly, I think we can prob do better than Simmons. AD's stock is pretty low, but it ain't Simmons - low.

Makes sense; neither AD nor Simmons could ever be accused of being "high motor" guys.

I would show AD this clip, and then ask him if he still feels if he's that guy, because we are going to need that guy to compete for another title.

Not sure AD ever was that guy... That's clearly the biggest shot he's made as a Laker by several miles... He's not our go-to guy when it gets close, and he doesn't demand the ball when LeBron is on the court... He's content to be an also-ran most of the time... He's even OK deferring to Westbrook...

That said, I agree with the sentiment though... If he even wants to be remembered at all for his time as a Laker, he better get some of that fire.

No one can deny AD's talent; yet, his lack of commitment to improving his game and doing what is required for the team to win may be preventing him from getting "some of that fire." Voicing not wanting to play center comes across as selfish and shows him lacking leadership skills.

AD did help bring to the Lakers its "bubble-summer camp" championship; it is now time for him to put the same effort in the off season which LeBron does and improve his game.

Ship his @ss out
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

Not meaning this as an argument....but I think KD wants to compare himself to Lebron. I don't think they're in the same room personally, but I get the idea that KD feels the need to "stack up" against Lebron, careerwise.

So I dunno that he'd be willing to join a 'Lebron' team.

I understand the aruguement, but I also see it as KD just saw Warriors and Steph win the title while he was a first round exit. KD may put aside comparing himself to LeBron just to try and beat the Warriors.

Yeah, I suppose anything is possible. Perhaps he's come to terms with the fact that he'll never have Lebron's career?

KD is a beta that talks like an alpha and wants Alpha respect... He's James Harden stretched a few inches... He's likely always going to be an "also-ran" in the history books... He's also got a pretty big injury history...
So I'm not sure why teams would be leveraging their future for him.... I'd trade AD for him if it meant we also traded Westbrook for Kyrie as part of the deal...
But I still say let him rot in Brooklyn...

Ok, so 400 FT made per day is already a remarkable milestone ?

I hope he does not only shoot 400 FTs a day to call it a complete shooting training scheme
