1. Celtics- Jaylen Brown, Smart, and two First Rounders plus pick swaps.

2. New Orleans- Ingram, Nance and five first rounders plus pick swaps

3. Toronto- Scottie Barnes, Siakim and four first rounders plus pick swaps

Outside of those offers I'm not interest in anything.

Boston, New Orleans and Toronto can worry about convincing KD to be happy there. Not my problem.

I'll just respond to this from a Toronto point of view.

It both makes no sense for Toronto to offer that and it also makes no sense for Brooklyn to settle. A stalemate.

When you look at it KD is basically a highly valuable but almost impossible trade asset (in the fact in how much risk there is to trade for him). He's an Superstar type player with ? superstar type years left, age 33 with an coming off a major injury and wasn't completely healthy last year. He also has the baggage as well with the Kyrie fasco.

He's on a 4 year contract but that's pretty much worth squat if he refuses to play or wants to be traded. Whomever he gets traded to will also be in the current Nets situation but worse if he doesn't want to be there and also probably have 0 future if they gut their team and picks for him.

The only real team I see for him is Brooklyn tbh.

KD's biggest flaw in all of this is putting all his eggs into the Kyrie basket. Kyrie already proved how unpredictable and volatile he is with the whole covid ordeal. Like if KD was best friends with literally any other player none of this happens. He just happened to be friends with the player that drives teams crazy.

If we run it back we have to get rid of Nash and bring in a real coach.

good post. I pretty much agree with you. I can understand viewing Siakam and Barnes as excessive along with all the picks as excessive and passing. Siakam is a younger all-nba player and without him or any picks to add players that team probably isn't championship level. it's not wildly unfair but it doesn't make sense for Toronto.

I do think a trade around Barnes/OG/GTJ/picks is fair, to the point that i'd probably handicap it as the most likely outcome right now since we're approaching the drop dead date on Ayton being relevant to the talks seemingly without any momentum with Phoenix.

OG took a step back (imo) last year and is heading for an extension that he may or may not prove to be worth it. With Thad, Siakam, and Porter I don't see you guys missing him much. You already have depth at center. With KD and FVV that's a championship team with the depth to not allow KD to get beat up the way he was here.

Barnes/KD will hurt like Kawhi/Derozan but in the end i think it's similarly the right decision. It opens a 2-3 year window as a championship favorite.

Such an idiotic move for Marks to hire him in the first place.

I hope to God he gets fired regardless of KD and Kyrie. Tsai needs to put his foot down.

Might be personal bias but I wouldn't want to send KD to the Celtics. I'd much prefer him sent to the West, unless a godfather comes in. We avoid the possibility getting humiliated by a conference rival, and we also help KD by sending him to the weaker conference.

New Orleans deal I like, Suns deal I also like if they include both Bridges and Cam Johnson, but I'd also be open to sending him to the Clippers for PG13, a few young guys and picks. PG13 will keep us respectable and I think KD would love to have that cross town rivalry with Lebron with an actual squad behind him.

I’d be shocked if that happened.

Nash was a teammate and is friends with Marks; he has a relationship with KD that extends back to their times at GSW; and iirc he’s invested in several business ventures that Tsai is also invested in. Tsai and Nash are both Canadian as well.

A picture of Nash’s face should be in the dictionary under “nepotism”. I think KD, Marks, and Tsai are all influenced by their relationships with Nash.

Harden called kd and then kd forced management to make the trade. Gotta hope the other team has players calling the shots. It’s going to be interesting how this plays out.
Netaman wrote:Harden quit on Houston and played like crap and he still brought back a haul. He even brought back a decent haul for Brooklyn this year a few months from his opt out essentially demanding a trade to just 1 team.

That's why i've been saying the bidding starts way beyond the Simmons/Curry on the player part of the deal. Or else why bother? There's plenty of room for KD to bring back that kind of haul while playing worse than he has. And if he plays the way he has his first 2 regular seasons teams it's going to be a mind-boggling bidding war.

Exactly. I even asked on your board why would you guys even want to trade for him at this point? Any deal that happens would just put Toronto in an awful position in terms of talent lost and draft capital.

Toronto can't win a title this or next season without a KD level player.

I understand their position. They like their young players and are super fond of Barnes.

What TOR does not remember is for every Kyrie Irving and Michael Jordan or Larry Bird there is a Brandon Roy, Tyreke Evans, or Michael Carter-Williams. They were all ROY!

I think the Nets run it back one more season and extend Kyrie another year during the season if they play well together.

If they trade them before the season or trade Kyrie away and keep KD a lot of things can change...

But, if I was TOR I would offer the Nets a deal that is super strong this week before the Nets unite and KD stays with Brooklyn. They can strike now and possibly make a deal or their opportunity will be blown.

I prefer we keep KD. TOR fans are nice people. They might be delusional in thinking Barnes is Giannis. But, every team overvalues their players.

I communicate on their board and they are funny people. A few of them make the worst offers known to man, but it is FUNNY!

There is no hate between us at the end of the day, we are all humans trying to do our best to have a nice life. We are bored waiting for the season to start. Let's all chill....

I think what makes the Pelicans an attractive option other than Ingram is their picks. Amongst the mentioned teams like Phoenix, Miami & Toronto, the Pelicans have the greatest possibility to yield high value picks.

This forum has been filled with idiotic emotional takes, dumb ass posts and entitlement for quite some time. It’s also hilarious seeing some Nets fans don’t even realize this is karma as well for nonsense like that for years.

Thankfully, we aren’t all that stupid.

I've been a Pro Ingram fan for possible trade return package....

would be stellar to get him and Jaylen Brown in return for such a scenario.

I'm starting to think Phoenix only happens if we take Ayton. Flipping him to a 3rd team won't get us the value we want in a trade.

I don't think Miami happens. Miami would have to flip Bam to another team and I don't see them doing that. They might make a push for Kyrie if Jimmy really lobbies for it. Something like Lowry + filler for Kyrie straight up. Riley had some tough words for Kyle in the exit interviews and flipping Lowry doesn't really hurt their future. They take a swing with Kyrie this year and keep Herro + Bam + their draft picks.

These are the 3 most realistic trades I think:

PHOENIX:
KD for Ayton, Bridges, Cam + all their first round picks

The most obvious trade but our interest in Ayton is questionable + the hard cap becomes a problem.

TORONTO:
KD for Barnes + OG + Trent + 3 first round picks

I could see Toronto pushing to trade Birch+Young+an extra 1st instead of Trent. Either way Toronto goes into this season with a core of KD, FVV, Siakam. They keep Achiuwa, Young, Boucher as role players. They still have time in the offseason to shore up the rest. Toronto always figures out how to get productive role players. Barnes + Siakam isn't realistic but I think the Toronto noise would've died completely if Barnes was off the table. I don't believe it.

PELICANS:
KD for Ingram + Herb Jones + Nance + rights to Dyson Daniels + all the picks

New Orleans would have a core of KD, CJ, Zion, and JV. Lots of solid roleplayers still too. KD + Willie Green are tight. This is the only package that gets us a young all star. Herb Jones was great last year and Dyson is basically like getting a lottery pick.

Dark horses option

MEMPHIS:
KD for Bane + JJJ + Zaire Williams + 3 first round picks

Memphis gets a star duo in Morant and KD. They've been absolutely stacked with roleplayers so they'd be pretty deep. They also move JJJ who is awesome but is 2 major injures in at age 22. Nets get 2 potential future all stars - although JJJ's injury makes this trade a little more complicated.

I’ve been taking stock of BI over the last few years…he’s become sneakily, scary good. When I’ve been watching him, I’ve thought “This guy is a young KD, but handle is already better.”

I assume he doesn’t get more press because Zion has been out injured and New Orleans isn’t a major market.

A trade centering around BI is an excellent starting point. I’d definitely want Herb Jones as well. If you don’t know him, look him up!

Interestingly enough, the Pelicans haven’t signed their #8 overall pick, Dyson Daniels, yet. Maybe they’re holding out for the possibility of a trade?

Throw in several first round picks and pick swaps. (And u se one of those FRPs to trade for Myles Turner.)

That would technically net us the top 3 picks of the 2016 draft which is kinda cool...
