His deal is only guaranteed for $3.75M and the deadline was July 10. I'm surprised that Portland didn't flip him to a team looking for cap relief. You had some teams that would've taken the deal provided that Portland was willing to take back some long term salary.

Oh well the trade market must have been barren for his partially guaranteed deal. Doesn't help that the dude's body and game is more cooked than a well done steak.

He's washed at this point in his career. Will most likely be a near non factor for most teams that he is on.

Hard to feel bad for a guy who's made 100 million playing basketball, but he could have really had a much better career without injuries.

He's fallen off enough as a scoring threat that he's a very different kind of player now. But I think he still brings some value as a defensive bench guard. If that's what your team is lacking that get at it. I wouldn't hate him in Minnesota at all. Golden State, Phili, Toronto, Brooklyn, Denver, Atlanta are all teams I could see having interest.

Hey you can still get a half-second of joy when Westbrook checks out before you realize that Bledsoe is coming in for him.

He also can't shoot so it's a perfect fit!

Raptors could use a backup PG. His non shooting ways would fit right in lol.

Thought about the Raps as a landing spot, considering they have almost no guards. If Bledsoe was still pressuring the rim a bit like he used to, he would be a good fit. But this version of Bledsoe doesn't really lift the team much I don't think. Point of attack defense is basically Bledsoe's only remaining high-level skill, and the Raps have 1 million elite POA defenders. If Barnes and Siakam are going to be taking on more ball-handling duties (and OG possibly hungry for more time on ball), I think you want a different kind of backup guard in there.

The Blazers should have tweeted "We don't want you here anymore."

Small quick guards do give us problems, and we could use a guard who can routinely get into the paint, but you're right, we need more shooting so maybe not the best fit.

I'd take him on a minimum for a chance

Yeah I think he'd be useful guard depth. He does still get in the paint, but no longer scores or draws fouls once he gets there. He certainly might have been useful in the Maxey matchup this year. But a healthy FVV might have been useful for that too.

I just have a hard time picturing Bledsoe on offense in Toronto. He's still an on-ball guard and I think there's no room for that in Toronto unless you're bringing more paint pressure than Siakam/Barnes. I wouldn't hate the signing though. The Raps have almost no guards but are they interested in having guards?
