This move really caught me off guard. The only reason I'm not more excited is because of his injury history. As long as KD doesn't form some super team with where he goes I really like our chances of making another strong finals push and hopefully winning this time.

Same. I even scoffed at suggestions of acquiring him since it didn't seem smart investing $60M+ on an oft-injured player who will come off the bench for us. But since the owners don't care much about paying the tax, LFG! Just find a way to keep him upright once the postseason starts.

The Celtics priority in the regular season should be getting Al/Rob/Malcolm healthy to the playoffs.

Can add Smart and Jaylen to that, tbh,

That's our small ball, 5-out lineup.

And Tatum's more like 6'9", no? Just by looking at him during games.

He is listed at 6'8 that is his theoretical height without shoes. There are rumors he is a bit taller, but nothing substantiated.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, or even if it's relevant, but... Brogdon's dad's name is Gino.

Looking forward to lots of Gino time this year.

Mitchell Gino Brogdon: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gino_Brogdon

He had his own TV court show in 2019 and 2020 called "Personal Injury Court" (kind of like a "Judge Judy"):

Malcolm is from a very educated and prominent family.

Is Malcolm Brogdon fully healthy and back to 100% at this point?

It's really going to be interesting to see who Brogdon is paired with most often. While this illustrates MBs driving game, it also brings about how he fits with Smart as Marcus' drives also rely on craftiness having similar physical limitations. And as you and others brought out last season, Marcus made good strides last year finishing at the rim. White's shot is still rightfully called into question, but he does possess a more explosive first step and that variety would seem better to pair with a backcourt mate who needs to work around a defense to get there.

EDITED to add: "needs to work around a defense" might not be the most apt description as Brogdon does have good dribble breakdown, but the better phrase is doesn't have "blow by" ability.

I feel like this move isn’t getting talked about enough. He’s probably our third best player. A team that was in the Finals adding a guy ranking that high on their team for no one that was really contributing is huge.

Rob, Al, Marcus, Malcolm are now all our third best/most important players. Until Malcolm proves it in the court with us though, he’s behind the other three. Six quality starters plus White and Grant and Danilo is a good place to be!
