If we can just show him the poll results of this thread maybe we can convince him to stay?

edit: i don't think he is going to leave especially when we win the title next season

If Brown leaves in FA in two years it will mean that he has become a potential alfa player, which will also mean that we have won a championship with him in 2023 and/or 2024

I like the way you think, but I would think he'd want to stay in Boston if we've won a championship with him.

I know, it makes sense too. But imagine he wants to prove he can do it elsewhere as the main star...I don´t know, players surprise me all the time. A normal player would want to stay in Brooklyn with quite a decent team and try to fulfil expectations instead of looking for a trade like a spoiled kid.

Warriors? Why can't they be more like the Celtics? We're good. We almost won the Finals!

Really is funny..... You see so many celtics fans like, "We were 2 wins away from the championship.... we don't need no stinking durant!!" Warriors, *Just won the championship* "Let's go get KD"

Brad would have a better pulse on JB. I trust him to know the situation and act accordingly. But it would be hard to swallow if we get blindsided again after we've let a few big FAs walk for nothing (or for TPEs) the past few seasons.

In any case, rumors about him sniffing FA and possibly entertaining other teams are inevitable the next two years. He's a really good player that many teams would want to bring in the second he's available.

Also a team like Miami willing to explore/discuss/potentially move a player like bam....also a 24 year old one time all star w upside. They were a missed 3 from the finals and took us 7.

I think brown probably stays here....but there’s always the possibility he wants to go try and be the number 1 somewhere else or try to go back home to Atlanta or perhaps elsewhere.

Financially it makes sense for him to get to free agency contract wise - so there will be no extension before then. When it gets to that point anything can happen.

He might go to the Kings which is one of few teams with cap space in 2024 as things stand that will be looking to sign a 28 year old FA. After all the Bay Area is his home away from home and Sacramento is only an hour away (on a good day).

I’m not sure where he goes or if he does but just fully aware it is a REAL possibility he does test free agency or leave. How real? Idk but to think it’s just a fait accompli he extends and he’s here for the next 7 years just disregards everything we know about the player movement and player empowerment era.

Brad should do a Danny, offer Horford + White + PP + 2nd round pick for KD and Curry. See if Nets bite.

It feels like the "this will be the biggest trade package of all time" narrative has gone a little too far. The guy is still 34, he's had some injury issues recently, and sure he has four years let on his deal but its kind of meaningless when a guy can just force his way out.

He'll get a lot, because he's KD, but acting like the above isn't at least in the ball park is a little weird to me.

I still think its possible the Nets just try to convince him to come back if the price is gonna be this high.

Wiggy isn't a real source but at the same time its most likely true. Theres been rumblings about Miami since last year. Atlanta is also a good spot too but thats Trey Youngs team and Trey Young I'd say is a "better" player in NBA circles than Jaylen so would that really be his team? Maybe the Knicks?

I don't think I need a real or fake source to understand it is well within good logic to say JB can potentially leave for another team for any of the reasons already discussed.

My issue wouldn't be trading JB for KD, but rather how much else would the Nets want/expect. I do want want Boston to give up a huge draft haul for KD, therefor I am happy to just go ahead with our current roster.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

What are some teams where Jaylen Brown would be the best player in 2024?I think the candidates are:
Indiana
Spurs
Orlando
NYK if Randle continues to struggle and RJ doesn't improve.
That's really it.

Out of those teams the Knicks are definitely a threat. The rest don't make sense.
