It is cheating if they’re talking to a player until free agency whether that is direct or back channels like friends and family. If you don’t believe that it’s just because you’re a biased Knicks fan.

The real issue is you don’t want to admit to your team cheating.

Do you think it was cool for the Knicks to forego their draft and admit to the world it was for a shot at Brunson ?
That is the risk they took . It was not a glamorous process . You talk about back channels but you and me are not in the nba and know the Knicks offer and intentions because they were transparent .

We’re you and i tampering because we knew the Knicks had a 100M on the table and everyone has nothing . It’s the real world man Brunson and his agent don’t have to pretend being man In the bubble.

Dude the entire league and every fan knows the Knicks were tampering. Except you apparently. Quitting being stupid. Brunson even went through the farce of inviting teams to New York and then canceling.

I don’t think this is going anywhere bud. You can stay in Lala land. The rest of us will live in reality.

Enjoy your reality bro , it’s a topic that isn’t even important , I actually gave this board credit for not harping on it the GB was.

In the end guilt isnt determined in the public arena so I’ll let that be your LaLa land.

you do not make moves like NY did to move salary UNLESS YOU KNOW FOR A FACT IT IS NOT A RISK BECAUSE THE FIX IS IN.

Fred Katz: A note with the free-agency moratorium officially done: The Knicks could not turn the Isaiah Hartenstein acquisition into a sign-and-trade because the Clippers were capped on how much they could pay him. As for Jalen Brunson becoming a S&T, we don't know until we know.

Interesting...

I know, i don't care about penalty. NBA is rigged.

But if Brunson sign become a S&T we can have something in return or at least another TPE (that we can let expires next year  )

Buddy they will dump salary to be a player in FA regardless.
If Brunson rejected them they would have moved on to next target etc.

Also the timing of release is also meaningless.
Reports happen early but the people reporting are NOT KNICK EMPLOYEES.

Sham , woj whoever can make any report they want at any time they want , if they jumped the gun and reported an eventual factual event , it’s really only circumstantial.

Bogdanovic would be awesome here. Imo only way though if we give a FRP though. If Royce O'neale can get a FRP, BB definitely can.

It's Danny Ainge. He will require 2 first rounders for BB. 8-)

Mavs are missing a big trade exception and perhaps getting a player or two from NY or Detroit if they don't make this into a 3 team sign-and-trade. Would be a waste to just let him walk and not at least get a trade exception back, but perhaps there are hard feelings from Cuban feeling like NY tampered with Brunson.

NY trade Kemba+Duren to Detroit for a 1RP.

Kemba probably will buy out... Maybe for the min could help us.

I think the fact that Brunson did not sign the actual contract today seems to indicate that there might be a SnT in the works. At least I hope there is. We need that TPE to maintain some flexibility to replace him.

I've read somewhere that New York prefers the Brunson deal to be a S&T so they can get access to the full 10M MLE. I dont know how that could work though.

Ainge probably has some weird Mormon connection with that Minnesota franchise.

He was able to convince them to give them Kevin Garnett before. Now he's able to convince them to give 5 first rounders for Rudy Gobert. Probably in exchange for plural marriage connections back in the Mormon motherland.

Yup NY would also get the BAE as well since they would be operating over the cap if it's a SnT. Would probably expand on the NY-DET trade that was announced but still hasn't gone through:

NY Receives: Brunson
DET Receives: Burks + Noel + 2 SRPs + 6 mil cash from NY
DAL Receives: 12-14 mil TPE

It would not be the first time. We did the same thing when we traded KP. We dump a lot of players to open cap space to land stars, We ended up with an empty hand. We only got average players in FA. We took a shoot and missed it.

Besides, if Brunson has refused our offer, we could have tried to get Sexton for instance.

Cuban maked that move a lot of times in the past and then he got screwed... For Deandra, Deron, LeBron...
