By 6ers, he means he's a fan of the Adelaide 36ers, the NBL team Franks was gonna play for..

I'm telling you, this guy could be legit. Excited to see how he does at SL..

OK since you pumped him up a bit and I am starved for Boston news I looked up videos. My first thought is he can be a 3 man but was listed as a 4. He has enough shooting and defense for a wing position. Reminds me of J Rich in that he shoots righty but seemingly always drives left handed.

Put him my list of must see next to in order. JD, Hauser, Begarin, Trevion then Franks.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

He just signed a two year deal with Adelaide so I wonder if he has a buyout clause.

Good question. But I gotta figure that if he does, it's not very expensive. Otherwise, we wouldn't have bothered adding him to our summer league team. And Franks wouldn't bother playing in summer league, if there was no chance it could lead to him getting an NBA contract.

Yeah. Like I said, he's a combo 3 and a 4. Perhaps better suited to the 3. But at 224 lbs and 7'3" wingspan and averaging like 9 rebounds a game, there's also the ability to play the 4. Solid versatility.

I like your list but I'm also looking forward to watching Kabengele and Reeves. Kabengele has good potential to possible be a solid backup center. Reeves could be a solid backup wing. Really smooth looking shot from 3, really high release. Can put it on the floor a little bit. Defense seems decent enough. Local kid too, from Roxbury, MA.

And who knows, maybe Thomas or Ryan goes off and grabs that last roster spot.

He's a 4 here in Australia, and plays with plenty of physicality. But he has legit three point range. It'll be an adjustment for him if he plays the 3, since he hasn't been dealing with guys who are super athletic wings very often defensively. But he switches okay, so here's hoping. I'd still see him as a 4/3, but it just comes down to who you need him to defend.

One issue is that his three (whilst legit) is generally used when big guys hesitate following him out to the line, or off pick and pop. More of a big man style of three. Not a movement shooter. But his range is real, so again...might be okay.
Meanwhile, he does have a little bit of a post game, so he could punish little guys to some degree.

Projecting him from the NBL to NBA it's a little hard for me to imagine which parts translate...lol

NBL contract reporting is a joke, so even knowing he signed for 2 years is a nice change (believe it or not).
But there is no way he'd sign that deal without at least a buyout (and possibly a straight release clause). And NBL contracts aren't super expensive, although he'd be towards the top end I would imagine.

So where is the Trevion Williams summer league practice film showing all those great passes? All we've seen is one hook shoot and one pass.

Forsberg really let us down there, and I guess as a new(?) dad who unexpectedly worked until late June I’ll give him a break. Mark Murphy and Smitty already wining and dining in Vegas, would be my guess?

Hope to see Kabengele standout and earn a spot behind Rob. Defense is the way to regular season minutes. Hope his hustle, hands and footwork around the basket is real and not just hype vids.

Luke Travers doing Luke Travers things in his first Summer League game...

Still wish he went undrafted and ended up with us...

Wow, Isaiah Mobley looks like he really slimmed down based on that thumbnail image..
