Brunson, Spida, Brown, Randle, Mitch/Hart w/ g-leaguers rounding out the bench...

Our young players are not valuable enough to get even one of those guys unless we're talking RJ.

RJ, Obi, IQ, Cam, Grimes, Sims, McBride plus all the picks for the next 5-7 years. That's enough for Spida and Green... If those guys are even available.

I don’t believe the non-RJ young players have the value that Knicks fans think they do - especially since they barely play.

Our picks war chest makes up for that... (2nd or 3rd best in the league...)

We'd have enough... the questions is would we want to push all our chips to the center like the Nets and other teams have done before.

I would include RJ in a trade for Jaylen Brown. Though I’m not sure Boston would be much interested in RJ

If we could keep RJ and make that move I would be happy

Popavich loved george Hill at one time but they traded him to draft kawhi. If they don’t budge you could argue you have to give up something to gain something. We could of probably got Brown in a KP trade back in the day. Just me rambling no concrete evidence of it lol

Not related. For all the talk about Obi doing some minutes at the 5 there was never any reason to consider that. Randle would be a good choice to do a few minutes there, but not Obi. I don’t think our C decisions impact Obi’s role.

I do think we have one of the best C rotations in the league now. Glad Noel is gone and I expect Taj to be waived.

If KD forces his way out of Brooklyn to BOS, maybe we can sneak in to nab Jalen Brown. KD to BOS, Jalen to NYK, Randle + a load of picks from NY and Boston to Brooklyn.

Mitch/Hart
Obi
J. Brown
RJ
Brunson

Yup... that would be sweeet.

RJ will have negative value as soon as he signs the extension. It will be like wiggins when he signed his. Nobody wanted to touch that. But it worked out for the warriors in the long run at least

It’s just that obi is more the center archetype and frame than Julius.
Taller , longer , more above the rim , kinda better rim protector , even college stats kinda scream this guy can actually play center .

Julius is too much Charles Barkley archetype to really be more of a center then obi
