Shaedon's defense and first step is what I'm most keen to see.

That Pistons team has a lot of guys who finished the season with them led by
Cade Cunningham and the fifth pick of the draft (Jaden Ivey) is listed on
their summer league roster.

It'll be interesting to see Sharpe matched up with Ivey

It's literally getting to the point where I don't even know why I watch sports. I'd be fine to watch struggles... but I can't even enjoy the players I want to watch anymore as there always injured... between the Padres and Blazers.... I'm just inundated with injuries.

Sharpe gets zero playing time and every blazer fan is watching specifically for him. I hate this team.

What? You dont enjoy watching Trendon Waddles.

I would bet my mortgage that Eubanks gets those backup C minutes. And it wont be close.

Sorta like some of what I see from Keon, think he is gonna be a NBA rotation player. Brown is good running the court for dunks and doesnt stand out anywhere else really. Already seen Walker get more mixy down low than GB3 his entire rookie year. Williams is just a dime a dozen 6'2 chucker. Didi has a funny name., thats by far the most impressive thing about him.

Thats what I have noticed.

At the same time, no guy on this SL team will be looking at more than 10-12mpg if the vets stay healthy, we are sorta holding our own and they have 2 guys (Steward, Ivey) that will get 25-30mpg next year + Duren, Livers, Hayes probably 15-20. So thats, um, something.

Sharpe has a ticky tack injury, and I dont judge on 5 minutes, be he played with the urgency of someone that was immortal. Saw that in HS too, smooth is one thing, this is another.

Thank god I've invested less and less in sports... the most exciting time of the sports year is the draft... luckily the NBA has the summer league to immediately stamp out any excitement of potential for me.

It's really quite unbelievable. After 2 decades of the Padres being easily the worst organization in all of American sports... they start to give us hope.. then the young absolute Lebron level superstar of baseball decides to ride motorcycles and injure himself for basically the whole year.

Doesn't play for a year, then gets injured in 5 minutes. I'm gonna call it now, he's done for summer league.

Dude plays softer than he speaks.

I've thought from the beginning, Sharpe would essentially be red-shirted in his rookie
season. He will be a player in time but that will be in 2024-25 for they don't need him
to play this season.

I've loved what I've seen from Keon today. I'm midway through the third quarter now.

Jabari has looked good too.

He needs reps. Red shirting a guy who just red shirted college is exactly what we shouldn't be doing. He's clearly a good player in an empty gym, but desperately needs reps playing 5v5.

Keon is going to be a real nice role player. His shot has come so far we are trotting him out for tech shots. I think the kid must have a tremendous work ethic to have built up his shot so much from College. Always plays intense, doesnt ball pound, elite athlete for his size, elite fuidity, legit 2-way guy with a growing 3.

Walker looks good as well. Again, a role player but I like his upside. I think the McDaniels brothers is a good baseline for him, but he is probably going to be a better rebounder / interior player.

Feels like this was pretty serious over-reaction. Sharpe looked like a kid who hadn't played competitive basketball in a year. Athletically he looked like he belonged, but it was clearly "fast" for him and he looked mostly lost. I suspect that part of that pull was simply protecting him from being flat out embarassed.

Kid is a project, he was always a project. It doesn't change his upside, and no one should have been expecting him to play meaningful minutes this year.

CWebb w/o as much vertical pop and a better 3 is my comp.

Still like Chet more, but think Paolo is going to be great as well.
