Are you asking for a list between all or just who had the best 8?

If you would like vote who had the best 8.

And then do a list. Think of the greatest player of all time with the best 8 seasons combined. Give that player a 99. And then rank these players based on that. Let's say 40 is the worst of all time. And 99 is the best.

I think its extremely close between all 4. I give Magic a slight advantage over Bird due to being a bit more consistent in the post season in his best 8 seasons. I think I might lean Magic as being the goat floor general or close to it but there's definitely a case for Duncan and Hakeem.

Do the 8 seasons need to be consecutive?

94 hakeem
93 hakeem
2002 duncan

I think if we limit to 8 seasons than probably Magic is the best here. I think if 6 seasons it is probably Bird. If 10 seasons probably Hakeem and anything after that probably Duncan.

Not sure there's any point to that. We're already doing the peaks, just read the thread.

An 8 season prime comparison makes more sense so I thought that was what he was looking at. What about it, mdonnelly?

You did this wrong. It's 8 seasons each combined.

Gimme Bird. His 3 MVPs in a row is dominate and very hard to do.

I see this has re-circulated.

Not the exact question, but pretty similar project here - where I'm aggregately ranking / scoring their (and others') best seasons.

viewtopic.php?f=64&t=2287373&p=105949904&hilit=Bird+MVP#p105949904

This is what I came up with: My answer ends up as Hakeem > Magic > Duncan > Bird.

Olajuwon's performance in his career is underrated. He had easily the least talent on his teams and performed well. He is the best scorer and defender of these four, prime and career.
