I love that both Chet and Jabari are struggling to get shots to drop, but are both absolutely filling the box score up. Gotta love activity and effort from your top pick.

Giddey tried to get too cute with the dribble there and crossed into the defender’s leg

I can't imagine them tanking with Giddey/SGA/Jalen/Dort/Chet.

They probably won't tank, but they have a young team so I don't imagine they'll win a ton of games either.

Bad shooting night for Jabari but everything else (minus his handle) was pretty damn good.

Yep.

He's high effort defensively and he's obviously going to make shots. His floor is sky high.

His ceiling ultimately depends on how much he can develop his ball handling in the coming years.

I wouldn't bother worrying about his handles. If he can improve it, great but I wouldn't expect it. He needs to work on his off-ball movement to get better looks and he needs to work on his strength for post-ups/bumping players in the paint.

Things could still change. It’s just summer league. But all the red flags with Jabari Smith on offense showed up in with how he played the last two games.

Again, things can change. Maybe he becomes Michael Jordan in 2030 who knows

He's looked good in other areas, but his shot selection and his habit of rushing his shots has been wayyyyy worse than I expected.

Because his shot is so pure, anyone think he can be a 6'10 Klay aThompson?

Before the injury Klay was known to be a good defender. Also the obvious that they are billed as good to great 3 pt shooters.

Klay can create his own shot when necessary while Jabari just stands there. I really don't have faith in Jabari being more than a spot shooter.

I think his handles has to be worrisome right? It is not that easy to develop handles. As a Kings fan, I was waiting for Buddy Hield to develop his, and he only mildly did so throughout his tenure, but never enough to become more than who he was.

Klay was 21 as a rookie and Jabari is 19. Can we let dudes develop, especially 19 year olds.

If you are thinking of playing Jabari like PB ( throw the ball at him even im the back court and let him create ) then yeah you aren't gonna find success right now.

However, if you put him in the perimeter or run around to free him to shoot, then yeah he will produce.
