Well first it was a joke, but now that you're making it a serious conversation, Djokovic is currently making 38 mil gross per year. Here’s the projected salary by year for Jokic:

2023-24: $44.8 million
2024-25: $48.4 million
2025-26: $52.2 million
2026-27: $56.4 million
2027-28: $60.9 million

So it' wouldn't even be a hyperbole to state it as becoming the richest Serbian athlete as you're framing it, considering he'll make almost 25mil more than current Djoko in his prime income age. And that's only from his contract and not sponsorships etc.

That's with taxes, so he'll be earning around half of it, if my limited knowledge of the US tax system is on point.

Djokovic has been on tour for more than 15 years, he's one of the three best tennis players of all-time and he's far more attractive to the sponsors than Jokic, i.e. he's got way more endorsements and sponsorships than Nikola.

I don’t think it’s matter to Jokic , whole endorsements idea , constantly show up on promotions commercials flying back and forth from Serbia during off-season
