I firmly believe that Poole is a product of system, and team environment, and will be no where near the player he is now, anywhere else, aka, fools gold.

I think the atmosphere definitely helps but he played right alongside Livers under Beilein in college on a final four team where he was one main contributors.

He could be a product if a system but it's also not a stretch that he's just becoming really good. Livers has a good head on his shoulders and is trending upwards so far as well?

Curry has a huge gravitational pull, and so does Thompson. It's much easier to get some open shots, or do what you want, when you've got one of the best backcourts of all time to play with, much like Vinny Johnson on the old bad Boys teams.

Put Poole on an island, and he's the man? That's going to be a much different story. His handles are loose, isn't all that great at getting into the lane, or creating his own, on his own.

Could he be that guy? Sure, but I want to see it first.

IIrc there was a stat that shows Poole actually performs significantly better with Curry off the floor. Likely because he takes on more offensive responsibility and is more aggressive w/o Steph.

The system certainly helps but he's really talented. He has an exceptional first step, finishes at the rim really well, great shooter who can get his own shot off the dribble. Wouldn't be shocked to see him become a perennial all star.

He's also going to be an RFA, so I can't see the warriors not matching any offer he gets.
