Re: NBA Summer League 2022
Man the amount of ticky tack calls in this Spurs-Warriors game really makes it less fun to watch. Why do we ref games this soft when the playoffs are nothing like this?

Peyton Watson might have more potential an anyone realized. I thought it was a bad pick but today he looked good.

Did Kuminga really shoot 7/18 from the line or is the NBA box score wrong? Because that's beyond terrible.

He was really struggling with the shot today.zike_42 wrote:Did Kuminga really shoot 7/18 from the line or is the NBA box score wrong? Because that's beyond terrible.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

Kuminga looked like a young Caron Butler out there today. You know, except for missing all the FTs.

I viewed him as a first rounder. He has too much talent to not go in the first round.

Re: NBA Summer League 2022
I thought he had a pretty good game overall. He was aggressive in attacking the paint, which is what you want to see from him consistently. The shot was off but the fact that he was getting to the line so much is a positive sign.celticfan42487 wrote:tarantism wrote:He was really struggling with the shot today.zike_42 wrote:Did Kuminga really shoot 7/18 from the line or is the NBA box score wrong? He was given a huge creation load today. Seems like the team wants him to develop more playmaking which was a mixed bag. He had a few big missed opportunities to Wiseman, for example.

Warriors paid for the full package - regular season, playoffs and summer league. Why are we surpried?

Re: NBA Summer League 2022
Redraft right now and Jabari falls to 7th to Portland, which actually would be a great fit for him.
His offense is going to look ugly when he's not hitting shots. It looks like he's lacking a handle or any go to moves

Re: NBA Summer League 2022
Kuminga is a 6'8" Westbrook. I thought he was potentially Jaylen Brown 2.0 when drafted as he is extremely raw but talented. I'm concerned for his future because he seems like he's got an ego and not playing major minutes next season won't sit well with him. He probably would benefit being on a tanking team where he could be allowed to make mistakes but he won't be afforded that with the Warriors. He got bailed out numerous times by the refs. His box score doesn't paint the picture of how poorly he played. He was atrocious.
McClung being dropped by the Lakers for no reason when they don't even have a starting caliber PG is laughable. Kid just knows how to play.
I was told Wiseman was a bust. Weird seeing him do well. Did he not read realgm and realize he's a bust?
watching every SL game one thing is clear, these teams aren't being coached very well. You have teams not even running plays. Some teams don't even have a viable PG. Nobody knows how to get bigs involved. And lots of really talented guys taken later in drafts or by previous regimes take backseats to guys taken higher. Solidifies that where and to whom you are drafted is THE biggest determining factor whether you succeed in the league

Wiseman doing well? Watched the game and if you objectively compared Wiseman’s play versus Neemias Queta on the Kings Queta would be significantly better. More blocks, quicker feet and Queta can hit the occasional 3.

Queta is a big surprise for me. I didn't expect him to show such a huge improvement after one season. He is in some ways more impressive than Murray, especially since he was a second round pick.Sactowndog wrote:BostonCouchGM wrote:Kuminga is a 6'8" Westbrook.
