He probably would benefit being on a tanking team where he could be allowed to make mistakes but he won't be afforded that with the Warriors. He got bailed out numerous times by the refs. His box score doesn't paint the picture of how poorly he played. He was atrocious.

McClung being dropped by the Lakers for no reason when they don't even have a starting caliber PG is laughable. Kid just knows how to play.

I was told Wiseman was a bust. Weird seeing him do well. Did he not read realgm and realize he's a bust?

watching every SL game one thing is clear, these teams aren't being coached very well. You have teams not even running plays. Some teams don't even have a viable PG. Nobody knows how to get bigs involved. And lots of really talented guys taken later in drafts or by previous regimes take backseats to guys taken higher. Solidifies that where and to whom you are drafted is THE biggest determining factor whether you succeed in the league

Wiseman doing well? Watched the game and if you objectively compared Wiseman’s play versus Neemias Queta on the Kings Queta would be significantly better. More blocks, quicker feet and Queta can hit the occasional 3.

Wiseman looked good. He's clearly more talented than Queta. That said, I love seeing guys like Queta in SL who seemingly put in the work, have more confidence and show out. Sadly, once the regular season comes many of these types languish deep on benches seeing no minutes because a guy drafted higher or a guy recently acquired making more money gets all the minutes. Queta deserves 20+ mpg as a PnR roll-man at the minimum. And I think he can start and even add some pick and pop and maybe a wide open three(s) tbh. It's not like the Kings have anyone better. But he'll likely barely play. Hope I'm wrong.

it's weird seeing basketball fans actively rooting for young players to be busts.

Haha. Ever heard of a 2 time all star center called Sabonis….

Given what I have seen of Queta’s feet guarding Banchero, not so sure Wiseman is more talented. Was surprised when Queeta stayed in front of Banchero multiple times.

If you remove draft position and just watched Queta and Wiseman play, the only thing you would come back with favoring Wiseman is that he's bigger and more vertically athletic. He isn't remotely more talented, agile, instinctive or coordinated

Queta is great. Propably the biggest surprise of summer league.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Who redrafts based off summer league. Wtf is wrong with you people?

I can't tell if the media is influencing the fans or if its vice versa. Either way its horrendous.

C'mon, man...
You can't name ANYONE who has stunk in SL, and then become a real player...

Nope, he is pretty legit 6'10 like Jabari. Here pics of him next to Jabari or Mark Williams.

One very interesting thing about Keegan Murray is that the guy never seems hurried, he plays with control and pace. Not sure if he’ll ever be an allstar but he already seems like he can be a contributor right away.

Murray is solid, best player of the SL by miles, he played a lot of games and always fill the boxscore.

Great pick this time by Kings, this year must make play-in.

First game great, this one not bad.

So mix.

The top 6 picks seems like solid players.

Maybe none superstars, but half can be stars.

Wiseman knocks down a 3...

And he looks great in defense with a pair of blocks, hes a pick 1, hes gonna put numbers out there if healthy.

rewatching Warriors Spurs and man Mac McClung is such a terrible and infuriating player to watch. His endless dribbling to get nowhere is so pointless and he throws up the most terrible shots around the rim.

Mathurin is my player of the SL. He's going to be a star. I think he'll be better than Donovan Mitchell and possibly be on Jalen Brown's level in 3 seasons. Congrats Pacers fans

He seemed really bummed on draft night and just doesn't look like he's having much fun in Summer League. And it's making me wonder about him. But maybe I'm making the whole thing up, which is why I'm asking. If this is just his usual personality it obviously works for him, so I'll stop worrying about it lol.
FWIW, after his Orlando workout, he expressed that a coach had to coach him through his mistakes. Seems like he gets REALLY down on himself if shots aren't falling or things aren't going right. Something to watch as he, as a rookie, goes through the bumps this year.
