I enjoyed the stakes of the regular season being higher and smaller number of teams obviously tanking last year, so I'm for it.

The teams that lose the play-in aren’t playoff teams. Still only 8 teams per conf make the playoffs.

I know folks hate change just for the sake of change.. and I definitely feel Silver is pushing the line of being too progressive at times.. but I’m ok with the play in tournament. It’s added some excitement to the back end of the playoff race down the stretch of the regular season.. and let’s face it the regular season can get kinda of strenuous and boring down the stretch

I think that there was a real competitive issue for a few years before the play-in tournament was instated with contending teams not taking the regular season seriously that the play-in tournament now at least somewhat addresses with teams now having to lock up a top 6 seed to be guaranteed a playoff spot.

Anything the NBA can do to make the regular season a better product is a good move in my opinion.

Substantially cut down on tanking and made the last 20 30 games of the season actually mean something to most teams.

Hate it but if they are going to keep it the should have 9 play 10 and the winner takes on 8. Leave 1-7 out of it.

I do agree that this would be a better decision but then the 8th seed would only get 1 game to make or miss the playoffs. Feels like the 8th seed should have to lose twice to make things even but then that's too many games.

Was against it originally and am still meh on the games but the one thing that has it has intentionally done imo has raised the level of the 5 or 6th seed teams for fear of being in the play-in which means that if the seeding is close they'll care late into the regular season.
