Plus 4 for 4 from the free throw line. Worth mentioning as a big part of his game could be getting to line.

watched his highlights of today's game. Looks very athletic..vertical leap looks bit crazy...looks like he plays with ton of energy, off-ball movement. Not a big fan of his 3 point shot motion. OI wonder how good his handle is ? couple of decent passes too in the highlights

Had a coast to coast in control. I wouldn’t say guard level by any stretch, but passable for a forward. His rebounding mechanics are bit off, over ran some plays, but all in all I saw potential. Could end up being the steal of the draft. But I want to temper that by saying one good game is not the same thing as being a good player. I will be very curious to see what he brings on Sunday.

Hollinger had him as his #10 length prospect in the draft. Gets his hands on a lot of balls.

Better passer than I was expecting as well. Kid showed flashes of potential. Let’s see what he shows on Sunday.

We found our next Jaden. Do either of them reach their potential? Only time will tell, but I really like what I’ve seen.

I was impressed too, but let’s not get crazy here. It’s one game. Josh Okogie has gone off in multiple games and most of the guys here wouldn’t even give him a minimum. Minott might be the next MCD, but we cannot get there from a single game in summer league.

I think Minott is actually a tier above McD in the athleticism department. McDaniel's max vertical reach is 11 feet 8.5 inches. Minott's is 12 feet 2 inches. That is a freak level measurement for a guy who is 6'8.

Minott has alot of things to clean up - "stray voltage" looks like it may be an issue since he plays with so much energy. The potential is off the charts though. Exactly the type of player that is worth taking a flyer on in rd 2.

Looks like he’s at least a 3/4 version of Okogie, which may actually be playable at the backend of a playoff caliber rotation in the future. Potential for more than that mostly depending on his shot and consistency of some of his other slashing, cutting, and passing skills.

I think the plan was to offer him a two-way, but we saved enough of the MLE (edit) to lock him up on a Gupta Special if he showed enough in Summer League. I’m ready.

Ya he fills a critical need on the depth chart IMO … if the right veteran isn't out there the decision becomes easy.

Yes. Give him the 4 years at the minimum, last 2 years likely not guaranteed. And still have him spend the year in Iowa.

I love taking chances like this on the SF/PF position. Arguably the most valuable position in the league at the moment. Can never have enough!

An underrated skill of his is the ability to play off of guys. He's great off the ball with basket cuts and doesn't need the ball in his hands in order to be effective.

His glorious 1st SL game was a bit diminished, by a very sloppy second game. However, he still made some amazing plays in that second game.

Not disputing this. Nor am I saying dump the guy. What I am saying is it is summer league. A good game in summer league is worth less than a good game in the G or in the preseason and is worth way less than a good game in the NBA. The kid shows a lot of promise, but also a lot room to improve. V8 spent 2 whole years getting taught and prepared for the NBA. There are worse things than Minott needing a year or two as well.

I think he is better than V8. You just have your mind locked in on rookies have to play G League. They don't.

Not all rookies. I wanted to start Kessler next to KAT to fix the high wall before the Rudy trade. I just don’t see Minott or especially Moore being ready to contribute in a meaningful way at the NBA level. Look at their mechanics, their box outs, passing, frames, ect… They are just not ready, and are proving it in summer league.

I thought summer league games meant nothing and they couldn't prove anything in a summer league game. Which is it. Josh is looking good. Moore is looking OK. They haven't proven to me that they can't help us in the NBA. If they've proven it to you then you run with it.

I think you guys are talking past each other.

It would be absolutely mind-boggling if Minott was anywhere near the playoff rotation. That said, he could definitely get run in the rotation as the Wolves lack real size outside of Towns/Gobert/Naz and with Towns moving to the 4, minutes are there.

Looking at the 2nd round last year, 3 players played key minutes [rotation level minutes] on playoff teams: Herb Jones, Kessler Edwards and Ayo Dosonmu. Can Josh be that good? Possible, he definitely has the physical tools.

As for Wendell Moore, I'm a bit more optimistic of him. Maybe he can be like Ziaere Williams was for Memphis.
